So ive had this ni200 coil in my dripper for like a week now and its looking all sorts of gross.

With kanthal it was as easy as dry burning and rinsing in the sink.

Can I do the same for ni200? If not, what is the necessary steps to getting my coil clean again?

I would prefer not to rebuild as I have OCD and a build could take me upwards of an hour lol.

If you're using annealed ni, it shouldn't change much from what you have with a mild dry burn (like puffon recommended). If you have hardened ni then even 600F will make it a little brittle. Mine tend to snap when I rewick them afterwards so I basically just rebuild the whole thing twice a month maybe.

I do vape low gum e-liquids so my coils and wicks last a long time.

I turn TP off and fire it at around 8-10 watts in short burst until it starts to glow, not bright but just enough you can see it glow. Then while it's still hot run tap water over the coil. Repeat 2 or 3 times and the running water washes the cooked juice residue away. Then pulse a few times to dry the coil, put it back in temp mode, rewick and done.

Basically the same method I do with Kanthal but being more gentle, don't fire it as hot or as long.

You really can't dry burn NI200, for one, there is a powder created from the chemical reaction, that you really don't want to vape
Doesn't Nickel oxide only form at temperatures above 1200F (600C)? If the board is set to 600F (300C) then it shouldn't oxidize I think. Not sure though. Like I said, even at 600F, hardened ni becomes brittle and snaps easily after that on my atties so I don't dry burn and just replace the whole thing.
