So I've got a bunch of free juice coming my way, but it's all 0-nic and I've been using 6mg. I see that nudenicotine.com offers free 15ml samples for just the cost of shipping, and I figure that if I get that in 100mg I could add about 1mg to each of the nine bottles and still have a bit left over. Now I'm just left wondering if I should get the nic base in PG, VG, or a mix of both. I'm not sure what the PG/VG content of the ones I'm receiving are (it's 1 each of the full "Potion XXIV" line, if that helps, but I don't see the mix ratio listed on their product page), but I've been using mostly 50/50 so far. On the one hand, I could just get 50/50 nic and it would bring any juice I put it in closer to that ratio, no matter what it was before, but on the other hand, I've heard that PG is "better" (why?) and since I'll only be adding like 1 part in 15, it won't make that much difference either way, right? Since I'll be having some left over, maybe I should go with whatever will be better for making it "from scratch"? It's only about 6ml leftover, but that'll still make 100ml of DIY later on, should I choose to go that route.

1: Is it true that PG is better than VG for nicotine base?
2: If so, why specifically?
3: What should I get, in this particular circumstance?

Actually from everything I read, VG nic is preferred. PG is very thin, so might be a tiny bit easier to work with, but the VG is what gives you your cloud production. Too thin of a juice leaks through coils, too thick and you could burn dry as it won't wick fast enough. If you are using a low end atomizer then a thinner juice might be alright, but if your coils handle thicker juice no problem, I suggest upping your VG %. If you are unsure, then just go with 50/50 and play it safe. It is all the same price either way.

You did not mention the size of the bottles you will be adding nic to, but for example, if you are looking for 6 mg/ml juice and you had 10 ml bottles of 0 mg/ml pre-made, you would add 0.64 ml of 100 mg/ml base to each. So your choice of base would affect the final ratio by about 6%, at most. So it really does not matter much at all. What will you measure it with? That might actually be the most relevant criterion.

Oops. They're 15ml. I figure I can add about 1ml of 100mg to each and come up right around 6mg overall (6.25-6.67, depending on if and how much of the original I have to remove from the bottles to fit that extra 1ml in.)

What will you measure it with? That might actually be the most relevant criterion.
I hadn't thought about that, actually. Probably just pick up a cheap pipette somewhere, I suppose. I imagine they have that sort of thing at like Walgreen's, etc.?
