Nic changing my flavors?

It's worth it to mention this is my second week at diy.

I have a candy watermelon I've been trying to find a use for, my gf picked it out but didn't like it solo. After messing with it today I came up with an awesome mix for jolly rancher watermelon. She LOVED the sampler I made, however when I transferred the same ratio to a 50ml, and added 2mg nic I noticed a big change in flavor. She still likes it. But it's not what I came up with originally.

I was very meticulous about notes and being sure I added the exact same ratio.

10% candy watermelon fw
.5% unicorn vomit fw
4% cotton candy fw

After adding the nic from wizard labs and a good shaking, it tasted really perfumy. Does this just need a steep? It's the first mix I've come across so far that changed this much after adding nic.

Nic isn't going to add a perfume taste, that would be the flavoring. Even if you did keep the exact % of flavoring, as you increased it that means a lot more in a large bottle vs a small bottle. So it will need to steep most likely, or may also still be too much.

I have not tried the candy watermelon from FW, but if it's anything like their regular watermelon I get perfume from it if I go over 5-8%, but that eventually morphs into a good flavor after about 3 weeks. So you may have used too much, or you may just need to shake, wait, shake, wait for 2-3 weeks due to the large amount of flavoring used in the bigger bottle.

Nic wont do that, only flavorings, unless someone spilled perfume in your nic Please taste the Nic by itself (Or with PG/VG only) to be sure this isn't the case

Ha, yea I already made a 30ml of unflavored for me since I actually like it occasionally. OK so steep. Simple enough. Thanks Aurora!

Good that you know your Nic and PG/VG aren't the issue! Then it's either too much flavor, or needs to steep.

You can make another smaller batch with less flavor, that she could use while the other steeps a few weeks. It may not take weeks, it might be OK in only a few days

Did you test 5% on that watermelon by itself? If not, try it if you have spare bottles to test in. If it's anything like the regular watermelon, then 4-5% is vapeable right away

I had to google unicorn vomit.

Just made me chuckle. Have you tried leaving the lid off the bottle for 24 hours. This will make the alcohol from the flavorings evaporate and may just be what the juice needs. Good luck to you and let us know what you do and how it turns out. DIY's love to learn new things.

Interesting use of the Unicorn Vomit! That is my GF's ADV!!! Funny, we ordered up that Candy Watermelon because my GF thought it sounded good. Nope, she sure doesn't like it!! And for some reason (too many Martini's I think) we ordered the Large 4oz bottle from FW. Now we gotta find a use for it!
But I definitely won't add it to the Unicorn Vomit!! Thanks!
