Just started vaping 2 weeks ago. Making my own mixes from TPA, so far have tried juicy peach, cotton candy, watermelon, cinnamon red hots, banana cream, orange cream, mocha. All were mixed at 50/50 pg/vg, 20mg nic, steeped for almost a week. All flavors were mixed at recommendations from the tpa flavor thread.

All were completely lacking any flavor, except cinnamon red hots, it is great and very powerful flavor. I can smell them all if i exhale through my nose.

I could understand if the others were low on flavor compared to the cinnamon, but am confused why i get nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I read where someone added tpa sweetener and it saved their flavors, but after i tried adding some to watermelon it tasted no different.

Just wanted to add that my wife is doing this with me and she also gets no taste from the others.

I buy TPA flavor only for the past 2 years, I can taste them all. I mix them all at around 10%, in your example I only have banana cream though but with this one I can taste it a lot even at 6%.

Try another atomizer/clearomizer, whatever you're using, this can play a big role in the flavor detection as some atomizer needs more flavor and others need less. Make a small bottle as a test with 15% and 20% flavor too.

Sometimes I find single flavors don't pop. For instance I've done TPA Peach at various percentages up to 10. I got a hint of peach but just a hint. Next I tried 5% TPA Peach and 5% TPA Brandy. With that mix the peach shines through, one of my favorite mixes and simple.

For some reason....don't ask me why, the brandy seems to enhance the peach even at a lower percentage. I've found much the same with several flavors so if you're doing single flavors try mixing it up a little.

My newest ADV is a mix of TPA spearmint (1%) and TPA vanilla bean ice-cream (4%) 65/35 PG/VG 12 mg/ml steep for 1 week. As silly as it might sound, try mixing some small batches at a lower percentage also it could be to much flavor muting itself. If you haven't already read the blogs by dannyv45, he talks about this happening. When I start mixing new flavors I start at around 5% and mix up or down from there.

Yeah ive been reading a lot lately. I had wondered if the cinnamon had muted my tastebuds, but, it was the third recipe i had tried, tasted a couple before the cinnamon and even then they were flavorless. But perhaps it was the percentage. I figured if i went off of the tpa flavor thread that would at least get me in the general area.

Going with the Recipes hasn't worked out very well for me. I don't know if anyone has suggested going Flavorless for a bit and then start adding Flavor. A lot of Veterans usually go with a maximum of 5% for TFA.

Make a 50/50 mix with 10% Juicy Peach and 2% Sweetener.

If you can't taste that it will be a few months of cutting back on smoking before you taste anything. It took me three months before I could taste anything but cinnamon or menthol. I could taste them but not pick out anything but.. cotton candy, vanilla, menthol or sweetener. Some of what I vaped back then would make me want to vomit now.
