Is anyone else running into this? It used to be that smoking was the FIRST thing I did in the morning, because I woke up with the shakes and desperate for it. Been vaping for 2 and a half weeks and it's not like that now. I mean, I am vaping 24mg so it's not like my nicotine consumption has lessened any yet.

As for me, I could not drive anywhere without first lighting up a cig. I've only been vaping since April 1st, but I no longer feel the need to smoke, or even vape, while driving. I do reach for my pv as soon as I wake up in the morning though, but that's probably because I'm excited that I don't have to get dressed and go outside to do it. (Can't smoke in the house.)

Exactly the same here. I turn up the tv, watch the news and vape like crazy for 10 to 20 minutes before actually getting up.
I did notice today I wasn't vaping as much during work as I normally do.
I just dropped my nic from 18ml to 12 ml.

Like everyone else, the very first thing I did EVERY SINGLE MORNING and WITHOUT EXCEPTION was have that morning smoke.
It was inconceivable to me that this could ever change, and was expected to be a given for the rest of my life.

That was the only smoke of the day that I absolutely needed to have.
Now, almost 22 months into vaping, and I often go until midday before reaching using my electronic cigarettes.

Like you, I couldn't start my day without first having a cigarette...now, I still do that, but with vaping, the "nic fit" subsides. I wish i could describe exactly how I feel after vaping...I guess I just feel "evened out", a little more mellow, without the heaviness in the lungs. To me, it's a good feeling, especially with knowing that I am doing something better for myself to satisfy the addiction.

I am down to 6mg nic now (started at 18mg) and I still need to hit it first thing in the morning but mostly because I look forward to it. It's such a mental thing after decades of smoking. But during the day the urges are not strong. And the lower I get my nic, the less desperate the urges are.

That's how I am so far also. I wake up and get my coffee and go to my pv but not because I'm jonesin. Then again I always had to have my coffee 1st even with regular cigs and I never woke up with the shakes or anything. My withdrawals always seemed more mental than physical.
