It occurs to me too that many online business directories don't yet have an e-cig category. When I did my search last night, for "e-cigarettes" w/ city name, it came up with every tobacco and cigarette shop, with categories like "pipe, cigarettes, tobacco, smoking accessories" but no "ecig" or "vaping supplies." The only reason I spotted my new local B&M is it had "vapor" in the store name.

Which is why I'm soooo looking forward to ECF's directory when it comes out. (When is it coming out, does anyone know?)

In the last ~6 months 3 that I know of have opened within a 30 min drive of my house. One is altsmoke, then there are two smaller ones. I've been to altsmoke and one of the smaller ones. I haven't been to the other (plan to soon as it,is definitely the closest drive), but I've heard it's okay and the woman running it seems to have plans to expand their selection of items and juices. Hope they can stay afloat!

Never heard of an e-cigarette store going out of business
for lack of customers ... IE demand.

On the subject of Google searching for ecig stores ...
There's a number of techniques other than just using a simple search.
One I often use is doing a Google Image Search ... If I see images that
might point me to a Brick and Mortar ... I click on the images to see the
web page ... Sometimes it takes poking around ... but the results can be rewarding.
Including key words like "vapor" can be beneficial ... Just have to think about
what words and phrases an e-cig store owner might include in their store name and
text on their website.

We sure have come a long ways in a short period of time ...
Today, many are frustrated not having a B&M store close-by.

By the way ...
When I search the web I use Google Advanced search
both for general searches as well as for images.

I agree and hope the same for my new local shop, assuming it's legit, which it seems to be. I will certainly try to give them as much business as possible (and finding this just when I finally gave in and ordered 5 "designer" eGo batts from FastTech is too ironic, lol!) And if they will carry the ProTank mini, I'm theirs for life!

I suggest MANY vapers across the country are not aware of e-cig stores in their area
simply because they haven't seen any advertized or not noticed any when out and about.
I have an amazing real-world example of this...

There is a certain quit-smoking forum full of hardcore, brainwashed nicotine-haters who also hate electronic cigarettes.
I was browsing over there when I read a thread, started by a poster who lives in Whittier, saying how they have never even seen a vape shop.

The point of the thread was to help ease their minds that electronic cigarettes were not really becoming popular.

Unfortunately for them, I saw the thread and posted this map for their viewing pleasure...
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msi...&ll=33.408517,-117.36145&spn=1.465028,2.04071

This person living in Whittier is directly in the center of probably the largest concentration of vape shops in the world.
There are literally 100 vape shops within a 30 minute driving distance of Whittier.

Great !!
NOTE the bar menu above the map
"Submit Stuff" ... link there to add e-cigarette stores to the data base.

I was just poking around on the Net and found tons of e-cig stores
in Missouri ... which are not listed. I'm retired ... Will add to the list later today.

Oh ... Just had and idea
We could send e-mails to e-cig stores that are not listed
suggesting THEY should add their store to the data base
However, the should check 1st to see if it's listed by the time
they get around to doing so.

Free advertisement for them ... and helpful to vapers looking for
an e-cig store near where they live.

'We' ?
Petrodus I dont think many do, and as for 'we' -there is not enough of 'we' happening-as yet ;)
Understood ... Yes, the movement does need more vocal "troops"
However, I don't say E-cigarettes are here to stay simply referring to the hardware.
I say so based on the numbers of e-smokers around the world and the world-wide demand
for the products. Not just the cig-a-likes.

Back in 2009, before I joined the ECF ... I realized the ONLY way e-smoking will survive
is with huge numbers ... Overwhelming numbers ... E-smoking needed to grow so large
the opposition would find it nearly impossible to stamp out.

Well ... Much of that is now a reality.

Even though the fight is not over ... I feel confident at the end of the road
all will be OK ... The only constant in the universe is change and 5 years from now
things will be different ... However, I suggest we will not be limited to few flavors
with low nic levels and only choices of BT products.

We say e-cigarettes are here to stay ... more or less as a "battle cry"'
We WILL Win !!
