Hello all, figure first I should introduces myself. My name is Shawn, hence the handle, but anyways I just purchased a 510 (black with blue led, which looks sweet!) from e-smokeytreats.com Thursday morning (6/4/09) and received it today (6/6/09).

My question however is along with the starter kit I purchased some menthol high nicotine level cartridges, because I normally smoke Marlboro Smooth 100's. The issue is I seem to be feeling effects of a nicotine OD but I've only took like 4-5 hits. Should I switch down to med? or would low be better? Does anyone know which strength cartridges are similar to that amount in one analog cigarette?

Edit: Also I have heard the manual switch was better however I also heard that as a newbie I would need to know how to use it properly if anyone would care to share some advice with that as well I would be more than happen to learn.

It's a personal thing really. You may feel like high med or low at different times, so it's wise to have a few of each. If you want to stay off the analogs, or have a few spikes at certain times of the day, e.g. breakfast time, make sure you have high enough strengths of carts or liquid. But if you want to be vaping all the time, you'll need some lower level stuff.

Re manual switches, other vapers will advise you better than I can.

Just my opinion on that,
:)
Best,

C.

I wouldnt know what the amount of nicotine a cigarette would contain. I would suggest starting off on the lower level liquids first and seeing how you handled them. If you needed something stronger, you could get some stronger liquid.
In terms of the manual switch. If you are depressing it as you draw the vapor and releasing it when you are done with the draw, I would think you are doing it right. It is diffrent from an analog and takes some getting use to.

I started 2 weeks ago and after my first 5 puffs I was light headed for an hour or two also. I couldn't smoke or vape. After that feeling went away the high nic was about right for a few days. Then I got edgy and had to move up. So this can happen. If u get light headed I'd say take a break. If it keeps happening move down. I personally have 3 diff strengths. depending on how I feel I go up or down

as far as cartridges you'll notice when they produce less vapor or less flavor, I simply top off every hour or two (just a couple drops) but that's me
