Hello everyone, I just started researching E-Cigs a few days ago. I used to be a fiend, but now I only smoke when I drink. But the next day I feel worse from the smoking than the beer! I have seen the guy vaping at the kiosk in the mall, but never gave it any thought. Then oddly enough I saw Johnny Depp smoking one in “The Tourist” and said “maybe I should seriously look into that.”

So I’m not particularly addicted to cigarettes, I don’t get nic fits anymore, but I DO enjoy smoking when I drink, and don’t think that is something I will ever give up. So I am seeking an e-cig that can be used without containing nicotine, but I haven’t been able to find much info on that particular subject, so I thought I would ask the experts. Can all models do this? Do you need a special cartridge? I’ll go ahead and break down what I am looking for in case someone might have a specific suggestion:
An E-Cigarette that:

a. Can be used sans nicotine
b. Looks like and is of a similar size with a normal filtered cigarette (don’t want fancy pen designs or mouthpieces, I am in the military and don’t want to draw that kind of attention to myself… I’m sure I’ll get enough questions and comments as it is lol). I realize it may be a bit bigger, that can’t be helped but as close as possible would be good.
c. Has a normal cigarette flavor. I know there are a lot of different flavored cartridges like fruit and chocolate, which I may eventually want to try, but I really just want something that tastes as close to a regular non-menthol filtered cigarette as possible.
d. Not mandatory, but I would prefer he auto kind that activates when you give it a pull.

Any help someone could give me would be very... helpful :). Thanks in advance, I am looking forward to a new hobby with the added benefit of finally bucking tobacco once and for all!

actually any nicotine level will do,,,although zero is most definitely better,,
Drunk you seek the throat hit, the taste, the mouth feel, maybe the nicotine,,,,all of which an e-cig will give you,
The lousy feeling you get the next day is from the crap you inhale burning paper and tobacco.

Thanks, the KR808-1 looks like a great starter e-cig. The cartomizers seem easy enough. One other question though, what are some good suppliers? I looked on Vapor4Life, but it seems they dont carry white batteries, and they have a multitude of flavors, but you cant choose the color of the cartomizers.... as I said I really want one that looks like a real cigarette (White batt and tan cart) Any other good sources to buy from than someone might recommend?

I just checked a couple of kits on the V4L site and they have white batteries. You can get blank cartomizers in Tan and Faux Filter colors, too. It'll be cheaper in the long run to buy the blanks and fill them with your own juice. Filling and refilling cartos is extremely easy. Other than that, I think your options are limited. Vaping comes with compromises and the biggest one is having something that looks and feels like a real cigarette.

Yes I see now that they do have white batteries for the shortys and extra long, but not for the normal sized ones, except for the generic ones and the reviews arent so good for those. I have found the forum suppliers section here as well, lots of stores there, but with so many choices, is there any starter sets from a specific site that someone might recommend for the KR808D-1? Or are they all pretty much the same in the end? Thanks!

I don't recommend anything the same exact length as a king cig (would probably have less than 1 hour battery life) and anything same exact diameter will have tiny annoying carts - but if that is what you want look at M402 and I recommend manual batteries for all ecigs - less work, won't turn on by accident from wind or vibration. Though most manuals are better sealed on the end against death by juice leaks, M4xx's are not.

KR808D-1/Vapor4Life is noticeably fatter than a cig. Slightly slimmer is a 510 and if you use a cartomizer with a 510 it will look like a cig (though probably with a black filter since most cartos are black). The black 510 batteries usually have blue leds but I think at cignot you can get a real Joye 510 with white manual batteries and red LED

I use these cartos instead of the long 510 atty and cart
510 Blank Cartomizers
510 SLB SOFT CAP Blank Cartomizers

You can get zero nic juice at most juice makers - I recommend you try juices somewhere around 70pg/30vg

Standard 510 batteries last for 1.5-3 hours, less if vaped a lot. Consider a PCC for recharging on the go.

Oh cool so they have cartomizers for the 510 as well? That's great, if I ever decided to switch over to the 3 piece type. Yup they do have the white battery with red LED, sweet! Yea the cart will be black but eh, no biggie. I am seriously considering this kit with the PCC:

Is the throat hit as good with the 510? Do the cartomizers fit okay in the PCC?
Man this is turning out to be a tough decision, I am excited to buy one though.

Well I have pretty much decided I am going with this kit:
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-510-pcc.htm

I am going to get 1 manual and 1 auto battery to see which I like better. I am also going to buys some cartomizers for it and compare to the atty/cart setup as well. Question though, who has the best tasting prefilled cartomizers for the 510? I may eventually start filling my own, but baby steps, I want to make sure I like it before I jump in head first. Thanks everyone for all the help so far.

Okay so I completely doubled back (so indecisive!) After more thought and research, I really want the V4L VK.

The Original Vapor King Ultimate Ultimatum Electronic Cigarette Kit

From what everyone says it’s the end all for KR8 models, and from what most say the Kr8 gets better throat hit than the 510, which I think I will want. But man all they have left in the normal sizes is gay colors! I really want white but I could live with black or silver, but not even those are available. I don’t want the shortys because the reviews on those batts are mixed at best, and the XLs won’t fit in the PCC. So I asked them when they may have some more in stock and await their reply. But I’m so impatient. Unless anyone has a suggestion that may be just as good?

oh never mind, you only want the xl, I didn't catch that.....

Actually I don't want the XL because as I said it wont fit in the PCCs. Are these auto batteries and cartos from House of Vapor pretty good then? I kind of wanted prefilled cartomizers, but I am getting fairly anxious :vapor:so I could either buy some separately or buy some juice to refill these

I haven't ordered from them, but they seem ok from what I read and they have what you are looking for for a pretty good price. It should be comparable to any kr808d-1 (like vaporking) that you'd buy anyplace else. I hear the tobacco flavors are good (or closer to real tasting than some), but you can always get kr808d-1 cartos anyplace you like.
