Nicotine levels off between manufacturers

Hello ECF. The two weeks ago I got a chance to attend to The vape Summit in Houston (it was a blast by the way) and got a chance to sample dozens of yummy flavors.

Since I am a 0% nic vaper (for the past two years) I got pretty high lol, but I also notice a huge discrepancy between manufacturers.
Most of the vendors had 3%-6% nic concentration in their samples. While I'm able to handle anything to 12%, I noticed that some flavors claimed to be 3% or 6% were way beyond that, in some cases stronger than 12%. Yet they still claiming on their labels otherwise.
I was there with my girlfriend and she experienced the same differences.

I also realized that this issues highlighted the most with the less popular brands or newcomers. It seems that some companies don't take nicotine levels seriously and the eyeball the formulas.

Has anyone experience this issue with your flavors?
I think that to be off in Nicotine level can really make certain people sick.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I have very little experience since I'm relatively new to vaping, but I bought a bottle of Lotus Minty Mint this week that is labelled 10mg, but makes me feel like an 18mg or 24mg does when I hit it. harsh and to the head quickly. if I take 3 drags in a row I get slightly dizzy or nauseous. I would imagine there's a lot of room for error with hand mixing, especially when making the stuff in such small quantities. Larger batches would help to create a more homogenized blend, IMO.

That said, I've started thinking about ordering only 0mg flavors, and then purchasing unflavored nicotine juice from a reputable, less hand-made, more professional operation. Haven't really found which places to go with though.

All over the place
It's hard to say, but without running a simple test it's easy to be chalked to one's imagination (even if it truly feels different). Not trying to say you don't know what you are talking about, but a number of other things can make one nic taste and feel different from another. Unfortunately those things aren't always easy to pinpoint their effects for a given nic level. I've had two 32 mg/mL liquids made by a brilliant chemist and both were at max VG, one was really harsh and would knock the toughest bear on his back, and one was smooth and seemingly 30% less of total nic/alkaloid strength. The difference in that case was what tobacco the alkaloids were extracted from -- but they were both the exact same levels.

Of course, there is the possibility that you are correct, but I'd be willing to bet that it's rare that vendors are selling 3 mg and it's higher than 12 mg. That's a huge difference and way out of the margin of error.

That's a good idea. I used to smoke and never got nauseous or this high like when I sample some Nic juices [emoji40]also some of them a spicier than other nicotine add juices
