Nicotine mg and Juice Strength?

A friend of mine who hasn't gotten an account wants me to ask a question to some of you verterans, I'm kind of curious about it as well.

How does the nic strength work? 11mg in 5 and 30ml can't be the same amount of nic in the whole thing, so what's the 11mg based on? Per what?

It's milligrams per millilitre (mg per ml). The 11mg juice will be the same strength whether its a 5ml, 30ml or 500ml bottle. A few suppliers refer to nicotine strength in percentage terms, in which case 11mg strength = 1.1% nicotine.

An "11mg" pre-filled cartridge or cartomizer does not necessarily have 11mg of nicotine in it in total. Again, it refers to the strength and means that the liquid the cartridge is filled with has 11mg nicotine per ml. Cartridges vary in the amount of liquid they hold in total. On average, a mini (e.g. a Joye 510) holds approx 0.5ml. A penstyle (e.g. DSE801) holds approx 1ml. A supermini (e.g. a Blu) normally holds approx 0.25ml.
