From what I understand, yes. So if you put 1ml into a cart, and vape the whole thing, you should be getting 11mg worth of nic.

Also from what I have read elsewhere on these forums, each analog cig that is smoked is about .9mg of nic.. So 1ml of 11mg should be around 12 paper cigs..

That's how I see it anyways. I could be totally wrong.

So....................If you use 5 ml a day of 24 mg...........it's equivelant to 133 analogs ??

WOW

When I chose my nic strength, I tried to get it close to my analog nic consumption. I've always wondered if those who use the stronger nic juice were getting alot more nic than they did with analogs.. Another factor is absorption. Is smoking analog a more efficient delivery system? Just because I vape an 11 mg. cart doesn't mean I absorb the whole 11 mg. There's alot of variables and I'd love to see a real study.:?:

There hasn't been many studies. Dr. E has done one official study and said you aint gettin' nuttin'. Then he had to backtrack a bit in an unofficial test he did that said...yep you are gettin' the nic. A New Zealand study says you are getting about 10% of the nicotine (per puff) as you would from a ciggie. Absorption is an ongoing question. Does it build slowly as opposed to the more direct hit you get from smoke? In both cigs and e-cigs, I think it is fair to say you aren't getting all the available nicotine. In fact...if you got all that was present in a single cigarette....you would likely be sick. If you got all that was in a pack...you would be dead. 8-o

As Belle has tested, we definitely get nic from these. I know I get nic because I get a headache if I vape my friend's cartos (he's on 24mg and I'm on 4mg).

I don't think the absorbtion rate is the same though. Smoking a cig gives me an immediate craving decrease, but vaping on the PV takes a bit longer to get through that quick need. Also others have reported that they don't feel the need for a quick fix immediately after waking up, which leads me to guess that the nic is more evenly distributed over time. I used to wake up and find that there's a lit cig in my mouth already on my way to the bathroom.. Now I get up, shower, get dressed, get to work, turn on my computer, and only notice I hadn't vaped yet when I pull my cell outta my pocket and find my ecig there.

WOW

My math has to be goofy...

I don't know how somebody could go through 5ml a day. Some of the chain vaporers I know maybe can get through almost 3ml a day.. Kind of makes you wonder how empty their carts are when they switch to a different one... most likely they are wasting a lot of juice.

You're making assumptions that all cigarettes contain the same amount of NIC. Not even close. The analogs I have consumed for may years don't say ultra light (any more) but they are at only .4 mg/cig. Some cigarettes go up to nearly 2mg/cig. BIG difference.

The cigarettes are a more efficient delivery system. It has been explained by a paramedic that the nicotine in a cigarette binds with the CO in the smoke and that CO binds well with the lung tissue far better than NIC alone or NIC with PG or VG.
