When we were smoking analogs we all had that issue of yellow nicotine stains. It was on our teeth, walls, ceilings, in our vehicles and if it was thick enough, near impossible to clean. Now that we are vaping and what we exhale isn't real "smoke", do we still have to be concerned with the nasty "yellow nicotine stains"?

The stains weren't nicotine, they were tar. And... nope, no worries.

If you doubt me, take a drag (or have someone else do it!) off an analog and blow the smoke through a white papertowel. Then you do the same with vapor. No stain to be seen.

PG doesn't stain, but from my experience with fog machines, the condensed vapor does become gooey when it deposits.

The nicotine itself should only yellow when exposed to UV, although I guess it could also oxidize. Regardless, the amount of nicotine in and exhalation is so minute in volume as to be a non-factor for practical intent.

PG/VG are humectants - they attract and bind water molecules. So the vast majority of what is being exhaled is water vapor, drawn from the body and from the environment - just like fog.

As observed, the exhalation from a cigarette that is the staining agent is depositing tar - and tar is the collection of toxic chemicals that are added to cigarettes. The filter is on a cigarette to catch the tar rather than the nicotine, and that's what stains brown or yellow-brown. Tar is very greasy which is what makes it so tough to get out even before the stain sets. So the appropriate degreaser for what you're cleaning should work best versus a standard cleaner, just as an fyi aside. [I never smoked inside so not facing that issue]

With text its hard to distinguish sarcasm, rather than with spoken words.....

and, im genuinely confused as to whether that remark was meant seriously or sarcastically?

either way,
Its just my observation on the matter.... take it as you may:)
No, it's not sarcasm. I'm pleasantly surprised and now have something to look forward to; I thought teeth had to be bleached to become white again. I really need to remember to use those smiley faces.
I've thought about the same questions, especially about what's in the exhale. I keep thinking there must be at least one little thing that's bad about vaping. I like it too much.:D
same here. Here lately I've been vaping for taste, then feel myself gettng too much.

thank you, thank you for this info. I don't know how to search for what I want to know and generalized searches get me nowhere. Thank you for coming in and answering.
