I am often given juice samples to try, but they are piled up in a drawer, as I am reluctant to "spend" a nautilus BVC which might not even soak enough on a 1ml sample.

When I was given this Nimbus, I got the idea of using it as my juice trial device with cotton, for example, which I would pull out and toss it after the trial, leaving the coil be.

So I have to ask you experts, how would you set it up for this task? (wire gauge, spiral vs micro, target ohms, etc)
ALSO, place one or both coils?

Yeah, mine won't fire if R<1.4Ω...

In that case, same coil but with 30g for about ~1.8ohm

Keep it simple at first, you can always try more advanced builds later. Also, I'd stick to single coil for tasting, two coils means twice the wick to pull out and put in, though you don't really need to change the wick every time. After a while you'll be able to taste when the wick is going dry, before it burns, then you can just drip your next juice.

Thx! I was gonna use large inner diameter micro coil (like 2.5 or 3mm) thinking easier to thread. Stupid?

You can go larger diameter, but then it's not a true micro coil. 2.5mm or 3mm won't get as much concentrated heat as the smaller diameter, but some people like the larger ones.

Or you can try a wickless coil if your nimbus has a decent juice well (don't have one so no idea) they work well for testing quickly, but use a lot of juice for the performance. If I had a spare atty I might have one set up like that, but don't so I just rewick if it's something heavy and judge it for other flavours.

That would be great! A little tub for the coil to sit in!

Never seen any with this feature!

On the Nimbus if you filled the well only part of the coil would be immersed (and that at the risk of short). http://76.my/UserImages/Items/1306/13/iloveperfume@16.jpg
