Hey guys i am having trouble with my nimbus. im using 28ga kanthal wire. ive rebuilt before, but this time when i go to fire it up, the kanthal wire doesnt get red hot, it turns off and cuts off. or only one side would heat up, but not both. any help would be appreciated. ive been rebuilding it for some time now, but im getting no where and just wasting.

popping the coil because of a freshly charged battery maybe?

could that be it? ill try with a used battery

no luck, when i wiggle around the wires, one side would only heat up or none at all

If you remove all coils so theres just the baseplate with the 3 posts and nothing else, and you put a multimeter from baseplate to either of the 2 outer posts it should show continuity. Just wondering if there could be a bad connection from post to baseplate (ie, manufacturing defect).

it shows continuity. i tried to rebuild it again today and both coils lit up but cuts off immediately..

figured it out, had to do something with the battery chip
