Can I run those 4.8 NIMH batteries in parallel ? I have a extra one of those

These batteries have high internal resistance, so to achieve apropriate current you need a very big package. I would not recommend to use them.
I've been running the 4.8v nimh batteries in a dual 18650 box mod for a few months with no problems.
I did one that I used for quite a while, had one pair of new batts cookoff. But no problems since.
I have a "puck type" box mod that I made using 4 AA NiMh batts at 4.8 2000 mah. They work perfectly. The only problem is the size. 2 AA boxes stacked together is large. Lasts for days on a dual coil xxxl carto. Burns the juice in single coils though... too much juice for a single imho.
