So I received a bottle of Nirvana ejuice by vaping Utopia in my Craft Vapery subscription last week. The flavor is supposed to be a watermelon, and from the few reviews that I've found, a very good one that is intense and sweet but natural.

The thing is, my bottle doesn't smell or taste remotely like watermelon or even fruity at all. The aroma that it does have is difficult to describe—one of those that seems you may have smelled before but can't place. It is not sharp or tangy, but dull and plasticy, sort of like oily vinyl. I dripped a little to see if heat would bring out the flavor, but it tasted pretty much identical to the smell. Dull and plasticy, and it sort of feels like it's coating your throat and stays with you for a good while. There is a hint of sweetness that might just be coming from the VG.

The draft date is only August 2014, so it's very recent, and maybe it needs time to steep and develop. I'm wondering if any of you folks have encountered the juice and had a similar experience?

Yes!! I found this post/forum all because I was googling the Utopia Nirvana issue that you're having. I have had a similar experience (almost exact). I swear the first time I tried it, it was excellent and then everything since then has been HORRID. It's like burnt plastic tasting and it almost seems soapy. I've even poured some into a little bowl to make sure it wasn't pure dishsoap. Was yours sealed when you bought it? Mine wasn't and I didn't even think about it until after the fact. I've wasted half the bottle trying to figure out what's wrong but I stil want to take it back and see what the store says. The juice is so funky it scares me.

Yes, the bottle was sealed when I got it. I transferred the whole contents to a needle top after opening it so I could test drip a small amount, and I've periodically taken off the lid and shaken during the 2 weeks+ since I received it. The smell hasn't changed a bit, though, and I'm frankly not comfortable vaping it.

I emailed customer support at Craft Vapery stating pretty much the same thing as in my initial post and asking if any other customers had reported issues, but they haven't gotten back to me, yet.
