I was looking around at intelligent chargers and I ran into the NiteCore IntelliCharger. I had never heard of it so I did a little research. It seems to be the most versatile charger I've run across. They make an i2 and i4 version. The original i4 had issues but has been fixed in v2. It can charge practically everything, no spacers needed. Here's a review of the i4 V2 Review: SysMax/NiteCore Intellicharger i4 V2 Charger | BudgetLightForum.com and a short run down of features-
  • Capable of charging multiple batteries/types simultaneously
  • Each of the four battery slots monitors and charges independently
  • Automatically identifies Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries
  • 3 Color LED displays charging progress for each battery
  • Automatically detects battery status and selects the appropriate voltage and charge mode

I did buy it. I haven't received it yet so I can't comment on first hand experience with it yet. I have both 18350 and 18650 battery's. The biggest reason I went with this charger was that it can do both without spacers. It also automatically selects the right mah charge rate for batteries. More often then not, when someone has a battery vent during charging, it was because they were not paying attention and had their charger set at a mah charge rate too high for the battery's they were charging. Since this one does it automatically it is inherently safer since it takes the user error safety factor out of the equation. It also has reverse battery protection. It shows charge level with 3 leds and it charges multiple types of battery's so my Rayovac charger can get put away or sold. The only thing I noticed in the video reviews that could be considered a negative was how tight the springs were. I plan on mounting mine on the wall so this actually seems like a positive to me since it will hold the battery's fairly tight. I'll update this with my thought of the charger after I get it and use it for a few weeks. Here's a couple video reviews-

I have the i4 charger, and I absolutely love it. Charges 18500 batteries from 3.3v to fully charged in less than 2 hours. Batteries come off the charger at exactly 4.20V every time. Works well with 10440's up to 18650's. I haven't tried 26xxx batteries, but as long as the physically fit, it should work great.

My only gripe is that the spring loaded sliders are a bit finicky and you need to pull them back with your fingers instead of pushing them back with the battery.

~$25 at Amazon makes this a no brainer.
