Nitinol coils. Possibly new vaping hype?

Nitinol is a nickel titanium combination. Its special property is that after it is made into a premade shape (eg: coil) and heated to i believe 500º F it memorizes that shape. If you were to use it in temp control mode anytime it was used to vaporize ejuice it would memorize its coil shape again and again therefore, not changing shape. When you want to clean your coils you could pull them out of your atomizer, spread them out, and clean them with an alcohol cleansing pad. After wiping it down,it would be dipped into a jar of hot water to get it to spring back into its original coil shape. You would just have to put it back in your atty then and it's like brand new.

Would this idea work if the wire was pure? a new temp control setting would have to be put on the device but what im focused on is if this is possible.

Well, the "memory" metal action you described is fantasy.
While alloys can retain shape, they won't tighten back up into a coil once you spread the coils enough to wipe them.
NiTinol is used in eyeglass frames and underwired Bras.

Mmmmm nickel titanium alloy metal fumes.

I'd go with "hype".
