NJOY King menthols - Nicotine content?

Hi guys,

I am completely new to the vaping thing. I just went out and bought a couple of njoy Kings. Nicotine is 4.5% (found this on another thread)....but how should I interpret this figure in comparison to what I usually smoke? I am used to smoking Marl Menthols 72s..about half a pack daily. Am hesitant about overdoing it with the NJOYs if the nicotine content is super high.

On a side note, day 3 analog free. Great way to pick up hobbies and keep the mind distracted!

Thanks!

Hi Unreal and welcome to the forum.

I started out with Njoy Kings. Not bad for a disposable but they don't last very long and cost too much in my book. YMMV. But they are a great way to introduce someone to vaping.

The nicotine content is per volume. A 4.5% means that it has 45 mg of nicotine per mL of fluid.

Also congratulations on being analog free for 3 days.

ETA: Generally speaking one can determine the percent per volume for nicotine as a ratio of mg of nic per mL of juice. So a 1.2% nic would be 12 mg/mL. Or a 24 mg/mL would be 2.4%. I hope that clears things up.

Hi Unreall. Welcome to ECF.

I smoked half pack or less/day Sherman's MCDs. They're said to be quite strong. I now vape 24 mg nicotine. But only a little less than 2 ml/day.

Everyone is different. You just have to experiment a little. Folks say the NJoy King is a good disposable.

My first real serious ecig was a Kgo. Now I use a Reo.

Bullette, with the Njoy king the problem I had (besides the price two packs of analogs over here are still cheaper than 1 Njoy king--if you know where to get them) is that they simply didn't last as long as two packs of analogs. For me they averaged about 4 maybe 5 hours before the battery died, which is unfortunate. I took a couple apart to see how they were put together, and the carto was still half full of juice. A waste :(

But for what they are they are good. I would only consider using them in special circumstances....IE when all back ups fail.

Hi Unreall. Yes The nicotine content is 45mg per mililiter. Just so you dont over do your intake, be sure to read the warning on the label. i am pretty certain they ask you to not take more than 15 draws in an hours time..... When you do finally look into branching out your prospects for a full-time PV you should probably consider stepping down in nicotine content and just vape more quantity of liquid if you feel the need to do so. For now if it cuts the urges( it should by all means do so) its likely due to the giant dose of nicotine..... Just keep in mind that there is no real comparator between the amount of nicotine you take in whilst vaping versus the levels of nicotine you where accustomed to from smoking. Everyone has their own limits for what helps them tip the scale in their favor away from analogs. Congrats on day 3. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Thanks all! So if I am understanding correctly...1 NJOY King has 45mg on nicotine while 1 analog has ~1mg. This makes sense, since NJOY claims each one equates to approximately 2 packs. As Abe says, I am sure this is pretty exaggerated!

I kinda got apprehensive after finding a few scare threads on here about Nic OD. Read through them and feel better about the whole thing.

Thanks! That is what I was looking for Analog!

If a analog has 1mg of nicotine in it (according to the tests done on them), then yes tecnically a cig-a-like with a carto containing 45mg of nicotine is equivilant to 2 packs of analogs. However, the battery in my experience doesn't last the same amount of time. But if they keep you off the analogs thats what matters.

I will say this though, if you decide that vaping is right for you, good equipment really really really helps having a good vape.
