NJOY's NCIG reliability

Hi All,

I purchased a njoy NCIG a few weeks ago. First let me say that I love the flavour of their regular cartridges, as well as the entire "cigarette-like" experience that the NCIG gives me :))). (BTW: I have tried some e-juices [all of Johnson's non-"candy/desert" juices], and nothing so far comes close to NJOY's true tobacco flavour)

HOWEVER, I have had severe reliability issues :)(): One of the batteries in my starter kit was DOA, and the (USB-type) charger that came with the kit would not go green after a full charge on either of the batteries (even after four hours).

So I then asked them for a replacement for the kit's bad battery, as well as the kit's charger, and NJOY gladly complied. I received them in the mail quickly: The new charger (a non-USB model) worked fine, but the new replacement battery was DOA! By that time I had also received a new vaporize that I had ordered as a "just in case": It too was DOA. (NJOY is now sending a replacement for both).

This is starting to get annoying and time consuming: Am I in for a full year (the guarantee period) of this back and forth stuff? Is there another e-cig brand out there that is truly reliable (but that also sells tobacco flavoured cartridges that actually tastes/smells like tobacco), or is NJOY the most dependable, and I have only hit a bad batch? Or are all e-cigs a quality control disaster?

Thanks!

Droopy I have two e-cigs, both 2-piece automatics, one from SmokeTip and one from PremiumEcigarettes(model PR111) and I love both of them - no problems at all yet and I have been happily vaping now for two months - also SmokeTip has Free Shipping and carries a LifeTime guarantee on their batteries and chargers. I have also seen a lot of people on the forum recommend the KR808. I've ordered one from CigEasy but have not gotten it yet so I'm not sure how it will work but I'll let you know. Best of luck to you and hang in there you will find the one or ones that are right for you.

i also started with that but mine was the NPRO i had a few bad things but the replacements were fine then i decided to switch to the joye 510s and havent looked back since then. its a great little item to start with but i wanted something that i can drip into. those auto batteries were not gonna last too long doing that. So with my manual batteries im all set.

Thanks for the info D103, but Premiumecigarette.com worries me due to an article I read called "Premiumecigarette.com Practicing Criminal Activity Online". 8-o

I don't know if that particular article (which I can't post the URL of due to forum rules!!!???) is legit or not, but with all of the e-cig frauds and cons out there, it has me too worried to order from them!

And, apparently, from the low response rate I am getting to my NCIG forum question/review here, there must not be too many people out there who use or are interested in NJOY NCIGs! :(

Thanks for the info!

Thanks stltransporter; the Joye 510s may be the way to go! (If my wife doesn't kill me for spending even more on e-cigs and accessories and juices!:)shock:))

Hey Droopy Thank you so much for the Info on PremiumEcigs. I've not had any probs w/them but I agree that article seems legit to me and Very disturbing! My PR111 model e-cig is basically a KR808 so from now on I'll just do business with SmokeTip and Vapor4Life and I will discontinue doing any business w/PremiumEcigs and no longer recommend their company to any of my friends. Thanks again for the heads up!!

Glad I could point that possible problematic issue out to you, D103!

As recommended by stltransporter and others, I have ordered the Joye 510, and bought it from Terri and Vicky at CIGNOT.com: CIGNOT appears to be most responsive and helpful, and their prices are definitely unbeatable!

The manual battery Joye 510 seems to get rave reviews from most of the experienced e-cig folks, and Joye's cartridges, vaporizors, and batteries are from 1/2 to a 1/3 of the price of NJOY's products. (Heck, even if NJOY's products worked like a charm, the cartridge costs alone would break me financially! :().

Anyway, here is what I ordered (carts and juice based on my need for a "cigarette-like flavour" experience: If I wanted to taste "ice cream" or "chocolate" or "cheese cake" or "whisky" I'd eat a dessert or drink alcohol, not vape an e-cig! [Just my humble opinion and preference, of course]).

1. Joye 510 NO BOX, 2 manual batteries, 2 vaporizers, charger, carts
2. Joye 510 Aluminum Carry Case
3. Joye 510 Empty Cartridges
4. Joye 510 Prefilled Cartridges Marlb Low (6mg Nicotine)
5. ECOpure Rich 5ml, 10mg Nicotine
6. VG Dunhill 26mg 5ml (Deluxe Tobacco)
7. VG Marlb (USA MIX) 26mg 5ml

All for only $59 total.

Hey Droopy! WOW your advice couldn't have been more timely - since your post one of my PremiumEcigs batteries died (it's only two months old) I sent it back, they sent a replacement and the replacement is NO GOOD, won't work. I contacted them and they
were very apologetic and are sending another replacement battery. I can't believe all you got from Cignot and for only $ 59.00. Again, thanks for the advice and I think I'm gonna check out the JOYE 510 as well.

Yes, I think the biggest problem facing the e-cig industry is quality control, or the lack thereof. The manual JOYE 510, though, appears to be the gold standard of the industry, so I'm hoping it all works out, 'cause that is going to be my last e-cig, or I quit!!

I just ordered some 0mg carts and juice today from CIGNOT, and they seem to ship the same day (The nicotine in e-cigs seems to be making my minor OCD symptoms into major OCD symptoms, so I figure its 0mg or nothing! 8-o I haven't smoked real cigs in twenty years, but I really wanted that tobacco taste back again...).

Very good service from CIGNOT so far.

i dont even order the prefilled carts anymore i went with the juice orders and dripping now. more money saved over buying prefilled carts but this has become more like a hobby for me now rather then just vapeing for the nic. theres always a new flavor i want to try now that i find them on different suppliers sites

That's definitely the way I'm heading too. In fact, it appears to be very easy and cheap to even make your own e-juice too, especially if it's a 0mg juice (just glycerin and candy/dessert oil flavoring (Google "Mixing your own flavored juice" and "Skim's Vapor Blog" [this e-cigarette-forum site here still won't allow me to post a URL!]).

I may try that! :)

I've had a similar experience with my NJOY Ncig. Tried another brand ecig and got the same results. As much as I enjoy the ecig when it works, the trouble involved to get good performance consistently is a headache.

I was going to give up on ecigs entirely but decided to try NJOYS's Npro DUO. The DUO places the cartridge and the atomizer in one disposable unit which is supposed to increase performance. I've had it about a day now and I'm surprised to discover this to be the best performing ecig I've tried in a year. Easy, effortless draw. Plenty of vapor. Nice throat hit. I'm impressed, but I'll reserve final judgment until my cartridges are spent.

I started out with NPro, and I did have a 'wacky' battery that burned out the atty.
Thought they were a little expensive, but their service and warranty is good.
I still have it in my purse as a just in case, but now the cart size bothers me, I went to 801's after a month or so. Hated constant refilling.
Otherwise found them quite good, as good as any. I guess I'll always have a soft spot for NPro, it changed my life considerably!
