if im reading correctly when people complain about burnt taste they are usually using a regular 3ohm atty on a HV mod. If that mod was at least 6V thats 12watts. So for the longest time i thought 12W was the cutout and somewhere around 8 is what people are aiming for.

Just tried a buddies passthrough and realized he has LR atty on it (he labels them)
If this is correct a 1.7ohm atty @ 5V would give me 14.71watts which is above the 12watt burnt level.

However everything tastes fine. I put one of my regulars and the only difference im observing is less vapor.

Is it possible he has regular attys on there or they sold him regular attys by accident? No multimeter available.
Or are my taste buds dead from analogs?

I would be inclined to say that those atomizers are not 1.7ohm. A true low resistance atomizer would pop under 5v - they are made to SIMULATE HV vaping, not to be used on a HV device..

Now I know some people might say that they use their low res atomizers at 5 or 6v, but understand that they are significantly shortening the lifespan of the atomizer.

If you want to use HV, use a regular ohm (or HV) atomizer..

If you want simulate HV, use a low resistance atomizer at 3.7v..

End of story :)
