new 2.0 ohm atty burnt taste?

i have a new 2.0 ohm atty and it doesnt seem like its working properly. Im trying to break it in but its becoming difficult because the draw is really hard and its constantly giving me a burnt taste like its not wicking. I have 2 of them and theyre doing the exact same thing. Is this normal with this type of atty? this is my first lr or semi lr atty. im using a 3.7 box mod. any help or suggestions will be appreciated. thanks guys.

did you prime the atty? when using it are you keeping it wet? are you dripping or carts?

im using carts. it should be primed ive flooded this thing with no results. it didnt come dry it has a primer fluid on it

Remove your atty and blow it out into a paper towel. Now drip 2 drops onto it and give it another try. You might also have to give it an alcohol bath. LR atty's burn hotter and need to constantly be wet at all times. These are best used to drip with. Cartridges can't seem to keep up.

hrmm.. ill try dripping when i get home. its not a full LR atty since its a 2ohm right? a standard 510 atty is 2.5 and a LR atty is 1.7ohm i think. would that make a difference at all?

seems like its working fine while dripping. kind of a bummer though cause im a carts guy. still not getting as good of vapor and TH as my standard atty. hopefully it will break in.
