So I threw my Mini PT2 out because it was garbage and I was getting mouthfuls of liquid, and now this!

Davide was working fine until yesterday now I get nothing. Tried to clean the 510 threads out, Q tipped the top of the battery, and tried blocking off the holes. Still like trying to hit air.

Does it need a new coil maybe?

So to be clear... Is there too much draw or not enough?

If you are getting an airy draw, the "flavor wick" could have slipped out.

If you are getting a blocked draw, then the coil could be gunked up and you need to remove the flavor wick, dry burn and put in a new flavor wick.

EDIT: yes, replacing the wick could fix either issue.

I've had one Kanger coil short on me (so obviously I'm not rebuilding yet  ). Fried my tiny mind until I remembered reading on here that your battery, the one I was using, won't work after a short until you put it back on the charger. kudos for the misc. information you pick up here. Glasseye, I know you're experienced and I'm not telling you that's the problem, just a chance to thank everybody on ECF again. Loving the new avatar btw. Too funny!

CrazyDammon, I use the Davide Mini and love it. When the coil gunks up it just stops putting anything out. The battery fires but nada in the vape department.

Yes, replace the coil head and toss the old one in some cheap vodka.

510 threads? I thought the only came ego threaded.

Hehehe He meant the threads on the battery, not device. He was most likely thinking that if the threads on the inside and outside were dirty, that might be what was restricting the flow of air.

Is your battery firing the coil?? If you dont hear any hissing or crackling when you hit the fire button, you need to replace to coil. Don't throw anything away!! The coils or heads pop apart, just wiggle the chimney and bottom part with some pressure. The coil and flavor wick will be within. Remove flavor wick and discard. Rinse the coil under some hot water and put it in a little vodka or everclear and give it a soak. After the soak, rinse under water again, let dry and install it to your tank base and attach it to your batt. Pulse your batt enough times to get the coil glowing nicely. This means all the gunk is burnerd off. Get yourself some 1mm silica wick, and cut yourself a little piece to replace the old flavor wick. Replace chimney. Done!! You now have a good as new head!! No, go dig that PT II mini out of the trash, you'll be sorry if you don't. You might find out down the road that is was user error all along!!

Found a spare coil head and that did the trick! Hits 100x better thanks guys.

Quick question. Could I take my original one, and my kanger t2 head and throw them together in a cup full of vodka and let them soak overnight?

I've dropped my coils into their cleaning shot glass, and forgot them there for several days. When I finally remembered and pulled them out, they were good as new. I can't say the extended soak did anything more than a shorter soak, so YMMV.
