Hi Alex/JustJulie,

Big frustrating problem, not and plan never to be a member of FB. We can only comment if we are "members" of Face Book. Gotcha. We need a work around. Please send.
Thanks and keep up the fight.

Re:
This week, CASAA members have at least three opportunities to take action and stand up for access to vapor products.

1) Support HR 2058

Once again, thanks are in order for all of you that not only participated in our Federal Legislative Call to Action in support of HR.2058, but are also passing the opportunity along to your friends and sharing around the display cases at your local vapor shop.

THANK YOU!

To date, over 15,000 advocates have sent 67,000+ messages to members of Congress urging them to support a change to the grandfather date for newly deemed tobacco products. Certainly, those numbers are impressive and we need to keep the momentum going.

If you haven’t already, please take action NOW to support HR.2058 - Send an Email

Please print and post THIS FLYER at your local or favorite vapor shop.

Please share the link below with friends, on social media, and at any large or small gathering of vapers:

2) Consumer Reports needs to hear your story!

The well read products and services review magazine seems to have failed to uphold its reputation as a rigorous and impartial investigator when it comes to electronic cigarettes. Recently, Consumer Reports published a tragically brief and incomplete analysis of available e-cigarette research picked straight from the cherry tree. Although it seems that Consumer Reports has concluded that the only acceptable way to quit smoking is by using FDA approved cessation products, the author did open up the comments section to actual consumers.

We think this is a wonderful opportunity for vapers everywhere to share their vaping success stories.

If you have submitted your story to our Testimonials Project, please copy and paste it in the comments section on the Consumer Reports article. If you don’t have a copy of your story saved, you can use the search box to search your name on our testimonials site and grab your story from there.
If you have not already submitted your story, please post it on the Consumer Reports article and then copy and paste it as a submission on our Testimonials Project.

Two birds;one stone.
3) FDA - Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR)

Deadline to submit comments is
September 30th!

CASAA’s latest FDA Call to Action is in response to FDA’s recent Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM). The FDA is seeking comment on “Nicotine Exposure Warnings and Child-Resistant Packaging for Liquid Nicotine, Nicotine-Containing E-Liquid(s), and Other Tobacco Products.”

We have provided details on how to prepare and submit your comment to the FDA.
You can find the full call to action HERE.

Thank You,
Alex Clark - CASAA Legislative Director

Regarding Consumers Union -
Despite their atrocious regurgitation of anti-vaping propaganda, I subscribe. Yesterday I got their email asking to "tell us your story" and immediately did my vaper's duty.

This is the link provided in the email:

https://consumersunion.org/share-your-story-welcome/

I'm not sure if that's a members-only link, but there it is.

The text of the email is below.

Dear snork,

When credit card companies started jacking up interest rates, we heard about it long before it made the headlines. We heard about it from people like you.

That input helped us launch a national campaign, resulting in a new law that limited unfair rate hikes and penalty fees.

So we'd like to know: What's bothering you these days?

You are on the front lines when it comes to rip-offs and wrongdoing in the marketplace. We need to hear about problems you encounter, so we can take action. And we've created an easy way for consumers like you to share your story with us.

There are lots of things that bother us. We think detergent pods shouldn't look like candy. When you find an error on your credit report, it shouldn't be impossible to fix. And really, it shouldn't be so challenging to plan for retirement, your kids' college education or your family's health care needs.

But I'm guessing different things are bothering you lately. Maybe someone tried to scam you by phone at dinner time. Maybe your cable company just raised your rates again. Maybe you switched credit cards to get a "reward" that turned out to be more trouble than it was worth.

We will review your story, think about reasonable ways to address the problem for everyone, and incorporate that analysis into our work. We won't always launch a big national campaign for you, and we can't intervene in a specific dispute you may be having with a company, but your experience will improve our advocacy.

Sincerely,
Kathy Mitchell, Consumers Union
Policy and Action from Consumer Reports
