Hiya ALL!!

New Member here.

1st - Just wanted to say that this forum is a great resource for info (although a bit overwhelming at first) on anything and everthing in the world of vaping. I learned alot from this forum and finally decided to officially register and see if I can ask a question myself.

2nd - A lil background. I first started vaping Nov 09' with a greensmoke e-cig. Loved the massive vapor, but after experiencing its lackluster battery performance and 0 throat hit :( I returned it for a refund. With the help of this forum I decided on the kr808D-1 and couldn't be any happier. :vapor:

Finally my Question - Am I the only one who is noticing the regular size auto kr808D-1 battery is becoming harder and harder to find? I've search multiple vendor sites (including china vendors like health cabin) and am noticing "out of stock". I'm particularly looking for a slotted center post black auto kr808D-1 battery with blue LED for spares/replacements. Sure V4L has some "no-logo" blk kr808D-1, but i can't tell if they are the solid or slotted center post and they don’t list what color the LED is. Does anyone know why this particular battery is becoming hard to find?

I am pretty sure that ALL of the Automatic batteries are slotted.

The 901 batteries are not, and that is why 901 atty and such can only be used on MANUAL KR808 batteries.

I ALSO believe that older 808A batteries are not slotted. BUT I believe contacting CS at one of the vendors is the way to go to make sure.

Funny about the BLACK thing, because I have ALWAYS gotten batteries from LiteCig, as they are the best price, and are slotted, BUT they are out of the BLACK...:?: Wierd. Every 808 battery I have is black.

Joyimui - I actually took the plunge and made an impulse buy from V4L for that no logo blk auto battery, hehehe. I figure that at very least it would be a backup spare battery even if it was not a blue LED battery like I'm looking for. (just hope its not GREEN)

Oettinger - After my postive experiences with vaping on the KR808D-1, a friend of mine decided to quit the analogs and vape as well. Being the noob a normally am, i assumed all KR808D-1 where created equal and recommended an order from V4L for a starter kit. Turned out that they gave her the non-slotted auto batteries (black batteries with GREEN LED). I guess they had some older stock to use up with her order, but this was a few months ago already. No the the V4L non-slotted batteries were not that bad, the draw on them was harder than the slotted battery I had (OK the GREEN LED was bad though lol), and carts seemed to get alot hotter on them as well.

I guess I'm so picky to find the exact same batteries that I've been using for a while now since I have been having a great experience with them. Also, I guess I getting a bit worried that maybe they have stop producing the KR808D-1 batteries.

Can anyone confirm that the "out of stock" on alot of websites for the black/blue LED center post slotted regular size auto KR808D-1 is just temporary until new stock comes in? I hate to go through every website’s CS individually in a futile attempt to get the same black auto KR8008D-1 battery that I’ve been enjoying so much the last 7 months.

I would contact the vendor(s) whom you have been getting your batteries from for the past year maybe they can answer some of your questions.

I just put in an order with V4L on the Black XL batteries. I'll let you know what they look like when they get here if you are still interested.

For the record, I have been noticing that several suppliers have been out of black bats. Probably just a temporary thing, I would guess (pure speculations) that huge runs are made at once. Of course (again speculation) there might be slight design differences between the runs, such as the color of the led, etc.

The 901 batteries are not, and that is why 901 atty and such can only be used on MANUAL KR808 batteries.

i can use a 901 atty on my auto batteries, using it now..

the 901 atty will work on all 808 batteries since the connection is the same.

a kr808d-1 carto will not work on the 901 battery because of it not having any air slots / vents.

i'm actually wondering if the op is seeing pictures of a 901 battery not a kr808d-1 battery. for the 808 carto to work it needs a slot / vent on the center post of the battery.
