I am new to vaping, I am 4 days without
a cig(vaping about 7 days) and vaping has played a huge part in being able to walk away. I have two mods ( Innokin cool fire 4 and Sigelei 50 watt, two tanks are the alantis 2 and the kenger sub mini) yes I'm addicted. I have had some problems finding the sweet spot on the kenger. Both tanks are .5 ohm if I'm using the Atlantis I can go in between both mods and both are set at 24.5. But if using the kenger sub mini it is almost 4 watts less on the Innokin and and almost 10 on the Sigelei.any ideas on why this is? I'm using a few different types of e juice. Hollywood 12 g(generations) and Cuttwood 6g, I prefer the Cuttwood it seems to have more flavor but the is not bad either. It just seem like a huge difference from one machine to the other.

Like it was mentioned before, if you are using higher VG in the Kanger vs the Atlantis then it might not be wicking fast enough. Otherwise, double check what your resistance says on your devices and see if it reads higher on your devices than the Atlantis does. Not every head comes completely perfect from the factory.

The RBA is no better whenever you get around to using that, but again they updated that like they did the heads to help solve those problems. Try taking a primer hit ever few hits. Cover one of the air holes with one finger and draw on it without firing it for a second. You might be able to vape at the wattage you want for a few hits before needing to prime it again.

The VG is the same, as I am using the same ejuice, It was totally by accident that I noticed the difference, I was charging one and using the other and noticed I had to go down in watts from one unit to the other. The Atlantis has more air draw and the wider mouth piece maybe that could cause a difference., but I did check the ohm reading on the Innokin it read .51 and the Sigelei it was .6 but I just figured it was the Innokin, goes to hundreds.
On the other mentioned, I did try the RBA, I could only vape that at 7w to 10w

Congratulations and welcome, Mark Sweet! :)

Am pretty new to using the Subtank mini as well and have the same problem with it wicking properly with higher "vg" juice. Would start out fine, but would soon start giving me burnt tasting hits.

Found on another thread here that taking a straight pin and running it through the coil a couple of times gave the juice better and quicker access to the coils. Have done this on the newer BVC (vertical coils) which seem to be overly packed with cotton. Working much better now!

Haven't tried it on the older horizontal coils yet: but with the horizontal you can "unpack" the cotton just a little bit from the side holes.

What an amazing, interesting and fun journey you've begun. :)

from what i gather as i am a novice also
but what i did to my subtank mini did the trick for me
what i did was drill a small hole right in the center of the barrel oi the rba section i dont bother with the occ coils anymore
i forgot what drill bit i used but its about the same diameter of a ball point pen tip
no more dry hits ill get lightheaded before i get a dry hit
i use the small blue screw driver it came with the subtank i use 26 gauge and 7 wraps along with Japanese cotton works a treat at 22 to 23 W
only downside to doing the hole mod is you run through a ton of juice

Hi and welcome. I don't want to go all technical on you here; the important message is to figure out where to set your mods for your different tanks to provide you with the vape you want and keep you off the sticks. Since you asked, however: I don't know the answer in this particular case, but I can offer some suggestions. The replaceable coil heads perform 2 functions, or three if you count closing the hole in the bottom of the tank to keep the juice in. They wick juice to the coil so it can be heated; and the apply battery power through the coil to vaporize the juice once it gets there. Different coils from different manufacturers will perform these tasks with varying rates of efficiency, and they will be optimized to work in a specific wattage range and with a particular viscosity of juice. Figuring out which coils and tanks work well in the wattage range and with your favorite juices you use to supply the vape you find suitable is part of the vaping journey. I don't know any way to get there other than trial and error; and nobody but you will ever know how or when or whether you have accomplished it. This is entirely subjective. Another point to consider is, while "X Watts" means the same thing to everybody, it can be measured in different ways and to tighter or looser tolerances. A mean wattage measurement will look a little different from a true RMS measure. Holding the power level +/- 2W is different from +/-.1W, especially when viewed from the other end of the drip tip.

So, I hope that helps you understand it, but remember the important part is getting the vape you want. Where you have to set the mod for which tank and juice combo is not meaningful, so long as it is safe, and you know how to set it. Good luck, welcome again, and happy vaping.

Thank you all, for the welcome, suggestions and advice.
Good to have a good informative community.
I'm really liking the Cuttwood Monster Melon, it is filled with flavor and smooth.
Any suggestions on brands and flavors to try.

If you are looking for cheap then I would say vapewild.com
They have tons of flavors to choose from and they are pretty good. You need to let them sit for at least a week after you buy them though, because they are made to order but to me its worth it.
