I quit smoking 17 days ago. I had to, COPD was on my doorstep. Since quitting, I've had a phobia about losing or breaking my pv. Maybe my addiction to Reds turned into an obsession with vamping, who knows. In the last 17 days, I tried several types of toys, most of them worked well, but I had to feed, drip, cartomize, fluff, wash, dryburn... you name it. I also lived with a paper towel, a bottle, spare batteries and sticky fingers for that whole time.

When i inquired about the best system out there, the most common denominator amongst the veterans and pros was the Reo. I didn't listen and spent a bunch of money on toys. Toys that worked mind you but still, toys. I had to fiddle, jiggle, drip and diddle, with care.

Yesterday, my wife called me at work to tell me that she just signed for a package. It was my Reo mini. A blue and black one. I rushed home early just to see it.

I've been in the precision gear industry my whole life. I've worked for companies that made gears for the Shuttle, for Nasa, for tanks in Vietnam and for Huey helicopters. Machinery and cutting metal has been my livelihood for 35 years. As such, I can tell a well made machine better than most. As an engineer, I can asses a well designed machine for it's robustness and efficiency.

As an ex smoker, I will tell all newbies that this vape thing works, it got me off of a 40 year pack a Red/day habit.

As a vaper I'll tell you that the Reo, in my honest opinion is the best thing out there.

If you're wanting to get a lifetime machine, get a Reo. No, I am not being paid for this review. Quite frankly, I don't need the money. I'm doing this because whoever Robert O'Neil is, he is a genius and deserves the support of the masses so his business can grow, and we need his machines so we can stay off of analogs. Pretty strong statement from an ex hippie turned fiscal conservative who still travels to Amsterdam for coffee 4 times a year huh?

God Bless

I wholeheartedly agree! I started with a 510, because I wanted it to look like an analog, but was ready to change from that pretty quickly. I tried an Ego-T, and was so discouraged with the disappointing performance I wondered if vaping was for me. I was always looking for my perfect PV. Several PVs later I finally tried a REO Mini and I am in total love with this Mod. Well made, easy to use, good looking and vapes like a freight train. One of the REO owners even ran his over with his car and it is fine but for a few scratches. I have sold or given away all but my Igo, and only keep it in case a friend wants to try vaping, I will loan it out, but the REO stays with me! The only other mod I plan on buying is a REO Mini Woodvill.

The prices on e-cigs seem to be really low. There is no excuse for not having an eGo or good clone with long battery life and some kind of good cartomizer. It seems to me that anything else is not spending your money wisely. I use an eGo with dual coil carts now and have ordered some Boge LR's to try them out and also ordered a Mega T-Rex 1100mah battery in pink! Hot pink mind you! At the rate I've been vaping, I can go all day and well into the next without topping off or recharge. I do top off anyway for that fresh hot hit! I bet I can go almost three days with this new battery just topping off. Analogues be gone!

Central VA. Isn't that Phillip Morris country. One pack a day lost - times 40 years - 14,600 packs -they are not going to be happy with you. But - what a recommendation. You don't have to go on and on about it but what is about the Reo that makes it "the one". Hope you stay on the wagon. Close to (or maybe in excess of) a 50 pack year person myself Phillip Morris too. But now more than 4 months from their grasps. Is that a '67 VW in the pic? Strong affinity by hippie's is what I recall.

It took most of us a lot of money, trial and error to discover the same thing sir. REOS are made for simplicity, durrability, and backed up with a man that gives 110% to his customers needs or concerns. Rob is a brilliant, but simple man (no disrespect meant at all!). He wanted a pv that was simple, was reliable, and I believe he has perfected his passion.
Welcome to the reo family Torque! :2cool:

Torque, congratulations on getting your Mini....and I agree with your assessment TOTALLY! I have owned dozens of e-cigs and tried them with every set-up imaginable. I have been driven to try every new thing that has come out in the past year. But when I got my first REO about three months ago, the search was over. I'm home. This is the way I envisioned vaping would be; it's easy now. Not to mention, these REOs are beautiful little pieces of art.
