Its funny, I guess most noobs need to go thru the steps before realizing that mods like the REO is what most should get. When I started I would never think about spending that kind of money on something I might not want to do. Then there is the thing of shape. Someone new wants it to look something like a cigarette certainly not a pipebomb or a wooden cigarette pk holder. I didnt. But the real smart ones...the ones that think....why are these things selling like crazy...heck..I'll try it Those are the noobs that save money and stick to quiting smoking.

I quit smoking 17 days ago. I had to, COPD was on my doorstep. Since quitting, I've had a phobia about losing or breaking my pv. Maybe my addiction to Reds turned into an obsession with vamping, who knows. In the last 17 days, I tried several types of toys, most of them worked well, but I had to feed, drip, cartomize, fluff, wash, dryburn... you name it. I also lived with a paper towel, a bottle, spare batteries and sticky fingers for that whole time.

When i inquired about the best system out there, the most common denominator amongst the veterans and pros was the Reo. I didn't listen and spent a bunch of money on toys. Toys that worked mind you but still, toys. I had to fiddle, jiggle, drip and diddle, with care.

Yesterday, my wife called me at work to tell me that she just signed for a package. It was my Reo mini. A blue and black one. I rushed home early just to see it.

I've been in the precision gear industry my whole life. I've worked for companies that made gears for the Shuttle, for Nasa, for tanks in Vietnam and for Huey helicopters. Machinery and cutting metal has been my livelihood for 35 years. As such, I can tell a well made machine better than most. As an engineer, I can asses a well designed machine for it's robustness and efficiency.

As an ex smoker, I will tell all newbies that this vape thing works, it got me off of a 40 year pack a Red/day habit.

As a vaper I'll tell you that the Reo, in my honest opinion is the best thing out there.

If you're wanting to get a lifetime machine, get a Reo. No, I am not being paid for this review. Quite frankly, I don't need the money. I'm doing this because whoever Robert O'Neil is, he is a genius and deserves the support of the masses so his business can grow, and we need his machines so we can stay off of analogs. Pretty strong statement from an ex hippie turned fiscal conservative who still travels to Amsterdam for coffee 4 times a year huh?

God Bless
Torque

You say it very well. That is why my REO family continues to grow! I don't just need them to look at, they are each used and appreciated for what they are.

Welcome to the REOnaut Family, Torqueguy! Before I got a REO, I bought and tried no less than half a dozen other vaping devices. All pale in comparison with any of my REOs, whether the Grand, Mini, or Woodvil. As soon as Rob comes out with the Mini Woodvil, I'll be adding it to my stable of REOs.

BTW, I love your vintage VW. My first Bug was a 1960. I'm currently driving a year 2000 "New Beetle." Love'em just as much as I love my REOs :)

They are very popular and sell out fairly quickly. Rob puts them up for sale when he has a batch (75-100) finished. Keep an eye on this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dates-sales-information-most-recent-info.html Because Minis have been sold in fairly large numbers lately, you are most likely to be able to get a Mini at the next sale. Probably 6/10/11.

What Margie said. Its so much better than some others suppliers who have either waiting list or having to prepay. When Rob has them made...you get them!!!!

I'm a new Reo Mini owner, too (2 weeks today), and I am more than pleased to have made this great decision. unsure, I almost felt like you were talking about me here. Yes, I wanted my first PV to look like a cig. I got myself TWO 510 kits and that big old 10 hole charger, knowing that if I was going to vape consistently, I'd need battery power. I did use the little minis while doing a ton more research. I think I went thru a very typical newbie process. I next found the Ego T system, and did not like it at all. Still researching, I found what I considered to be the best 2 mods that are available today. I also realized that it was a chunk of change to spend on those mods, but in reality, was it? Getting the best out there, being completely happy with the vape, how could I really put a price tag on that?

I echo the thank yous and kudos to Rob for such an excellent product. Another Happy Customer!

I agree that it seems to be the best out there except for one thing. YOu would think that for the price, and it is expensive, that the door would stay in place better. I have a mini and a woodsvill. Both seem to need just one more magnet to keep the door in place. A small price to pay for charging so much for the mods. I put the tape on the batteries as suggested but I thought it weird to even have to suggest such a thing to begin with. Why not just fix the problem? Just my opinion. I love the way it smokes (vapes) but am a little disappointed with the doors. It's just such an easy fix when you're in the process of making them to begin with.

I'm inclined to think the door is made a tad loose on purpose to allow the tape or ribbon to make the battery easier to remove. I use a nice piece of (red, white and blue :) ) ribbon for that. The door will stay on without it, but I always use it because it makes taking out the battery so much easier.

The door is designed to not wear even after opening and closing thousands of times. if it fit tighter, there would be binding and eventually galling and spalling on the metal. as ancient puffer suggests, when you put tape on the batteries, that gives it the snuggness it needs. Rob really is a genius and took into consideration even the fit of the door for long term holdup. The wooden door, if you live in a dry climate like az dries out a tad, just physics. in a humid place like fl or ms, the humidity would swell the door a bit and it would bind. he designed the stuff so it will work anywhere. I'm telling you this guy is a mechanical genius and I don't use that word much nor complement so emphatically.
