Not quite sure if I'm sad or happy about it:laugh: I've been vaping for close to 2 years now, and used eGos for the first 15 months quite contentedly. Then I drifted over into mods and life's just not been the same since. I really enjoy each and everyone of my mods I bought, and rotate through them all. BUt at the same time I have to ask myself just how many mods do I need? I'm pretty sure I've got more than enough for a lifetime. I got into DIY, jumped in with both feet and can mix together enough different good juices to satisfy my flavor variety cravings. Rebuildable atomizers were my last big jump, and I'm getting to the point I can make decent coils for either the tank rebuildable or the bottom feeders. So I've been thinking lately, "what else do I need"? The only answer I keep giving myself is "nothing".

So with all that said, I've imposed a 6 month buying ban on myself. I did pre-order a GGTS last week, so I will be getting that probably in November. But it's paid for already. That money has left the wallet and I'm just waiting on the build and shipment. But that's my last "fun" purchase until at least the end of February. Maybe by then, I'll decide to extend the buying ban on myself permanently. Part of all the acquiring I've been doing lately is to make myself as self-sufficient as possible in case the FDA tanks this industry with regulation. I think it's time to start practicing some self-sufficiency with what I own and see how it works for me. Of course the other part of what I've been buying comes down to "that looks like fun" and that part is definitely being nixed.

I will exclude from the ban the functioning parts of what I might need: wick,wire,batteries,adapters,chargers,multi-meter,VG,PG. I am going to limit flavoring purchases to those flavors I use routinely, and not buying any new ones.

I figured if I put it in writing and posted it, I would be reminded of my goal. We shall see. :)

Once I found a setup that worked right all the time I quit buying stuff I simply wanted but didn't need. That's when I started saving money on this whole venture. I haven't bought a new rig for over a year, mix some of my own juice, and only buy consumables. I order a bulk of atty's about once a year, have enough DIY stuff to mix juice for a year, and don't plan on purchasing anything that doesn't drastically improve my vape experience.

I think you have pretty much nailed down my goal. Good luck!

Same here. I got my Provari thats still going strong, and 2 rebuildable atomizers, and I'm learning DIY... I'm at the point now of needing to stock up on NIC, PG, VG, and flavors, but other than that, I have nothing else I need to buy. It feels GOOD.

I finally reached the point I'm content with my vaping. A Provari mini three Odys (1 drip mode) and a Penelope. I use mostly AVE and Halo juices which I can now get locally for same price. I was going to order a GGTS and UFS but changed my mind because of how pleased I am with my setup. I do worry about FDA cracking down but I have a 5 & 6 year old so I don't really want concentrated nic in the house. I've recently dropped my nic level from 24 to 18 and hope to eventually quit. Hope to beat the FDA.

What I did is that I buy the 30mg NIC base. If your flavoring only makes up ~20%, then 36mg NIC base is concentrated enough for 18mg juice. Also, I bought one of those cheap mini-fridges from wal-mart, and put a padlock on the door, to store my DIY supplies.

good for you I should follow your example

It's going to be hard to do. I do like my toys and the brand spankin new VV Grands are coming out and there are blemished black chrome Provaris on sale at ProVape and I only have 1 ProVari and need a backup(see how my line of thinking goes?) So I don't think it'll be a cakewalk to pull off. But I'm determined to try.:)

Haha I know how you feel there... I have the Chalice, and keep thinking to myself, I should get a Reo Grand to put it on... Luckily for me though, my hubby just got a drill press, so he's gonna set up what I saw referred to as a "Gummy Lathe" on the modders subforum to make me one.

I can justify one of them for you. If you don't have any rebuildables you do need to get hold of at least one to guard against zombies. Just call me the enabler. :D

Where are you seeing the Blems? I can't ever find them on the site.

Go to the products tab and under that there's a clearance tab. They hide in there. :)

EDIT: Never mind, they're gone now. Must not have had as many as they did of the blemished chrome ones. Sorry.

So Calif
IF Provari has green LED's in late Feb 2013 on my 2 yr vaperversary I'm going to get a purple V2 with green LED. I want a seemingly impossible to buy red diamond cut sleeve and matching drip shield for my silver Empire, and a purple Reo Grande still.

I can live without them but they would be nice to have ;)

I was a very good girl the first year I vaped, Egos all the way and saved a ton of money and then found mods. Hoo boy!!

In the meantime I'm stocking up on cartos, atties, flavoring in 4 oz bottles for the juices I love to get a safety stash. Money again will pile up from not smoking cigs and not buyin new mods ;)

You're a good influence house mouse ;)

I wish I could say this...unfortunatly there is still stuff I want...I still don't have a provari, empire mod, and a few others I really want...so until then I am not done. Its not that I am unhappy with my mods I have now as I love the 3 I have but I just want those devices. and there are too many juices out there that I want to try that I have not yet tried so I am not done there yet either. and as far as atomizing devices I know what I like there but I have to replace them from time to time so I still have to buy those too.

Quite understandable. It took me almost 2 years of working through what I like/don't like to get to how I feel about it now. The GGTS was the last mod I had been lusting after. So, I feel pretty done. I would like another ProVari for a backup, however that can wait 6 more months. At the end of that time, if I don't cave on my plan, I might get one as a reward. Or, I could sell a VV Woodville in the classifieds and get the money to purchase one that way, essentially trading out a VVW for a ProVari. But even that move I want to hold off on for 6 months to see how I feel about things then. I think I'll keep a log of what necessary items(batteries, etc,) I do purchase in the next 6 months, just to see how much/little I do spend on this experiment.
