Hi all, I recently got an ego t system with some juice. The first few days I had it with the blueberry juice at 18mg was great, I stopped smoking analogs. Now I have picked up some new juice that is 60/40 vgpg, it produces crazy vapor but 0 throat hit. I changed to a brand new atty and still no throat hit. The label on the juice says best after 10 days, is this always the case? Will the TH develop?

Also, what's the best way to switch to a different flavour with the same atty? Or is that not so,etching one should do?

Thanks

The higher the VG ratio the less throat hit you'll get. It could just be the juice, I've got some that have great throat while another at the same ratio has almost none. Juices that are custom made generally need to steep for a few days for the flavors to mix correctly and fully come out. I've never had a juice get more throat hit after sitting for awhile.

I would ditch that eliquid and get some from a reputable supplier. No eliquid needs 10 days. Most are good as soon as you get them.

If you are going to switch flavors and use the same atty, then rinse the atty out with PGA. (pure grain alcohol) It gets rid of the old flavor, evaporates quickly unlike water and leaves no aftertaste,

Nicotine is TH
PG lets it through better
VG dulls it

Try high-PG blends like 80PG/20VG

How much nic was in your first juice and how much in the second?

Also 60VG is about twice the highest VG recommended for -T tanks. I am pretty sure -T tanks work best with 30% VG or less (i.e thin juices). Vg is thick and if your juice is too sluggish then you will get burnt tastes as it fails to keep the heating coil damp.

Also try dropping 1-2 drops onto the atomizer, putting an empty tank on, and taking a few drags. It might be that, the juice isn't hitting the atomizer sufficiently when you use a high vg juice in the tank system...try the drip method to get a gauge of how the juice should taste. (Dripping will always give better flavour though, so the tank will ideally be slightly less flavourful)

Re your question on how to switch flavors -

Most people end up using cartomizers for their favorite everyday thinner flavors. Again I think thinner works better and moves quickly enough through a cartomizer's stuffing or wicks to keep the coil area damp. I use 80PG/20VG. Cartomizers are disposable - I can get a week to 10 days out of each if I keep them damp so they don't singe and get bitter. Each cartomizer has its own coil - no atomizer is used, so the flavors in cartomizers stay totally separate from each other. Boge 2 ohm are the most popular cartos for Ego though the cooler 3 ohm ones are a nit easier to learn on and use battery charge more slowly.

For testing new juices I recommend a normal 510 atomizer and 510 drop tip. You can blow it our into a tissue between juices, then optionally drip some unflavored PG in and mostly vape that off and blow out again, then drip in the new flavor.

Using PGA is a heck of a lot easier and less messy and works better in clearing out the old liquid.

For what it's worth my favorite mix, and I use Ego tanks/cartos and such, is 60/40 and anything more is just too much...anything under 30(70/30) seems to leak out of the tanks. If you wind up wanting a thinner mix, or thicker...if you wind up wanting anything beyond 70/30-60/40 I suggest carts or cartos. I'm enjoying a really high VG juice at about 40/60, but only in a XL dual coil (I don't have any good tankomizers...yet).

Edit:
you could also drip straight PG/VG to clean an atty out while dripping, I like this method because I'm still vaping while cleaning so there's no real down time to speak of.
