No throat hit, no vapor, help!

I've tried my protank 2 and protank 2 mini and neither of them are giving me any throat hit and just a small wisp of vapor. I'm not noticing any flooding (nothing on battery connection, and nothing when I turn it upside down a blow through it). I just need a good vape and I'm dying here, can somebody please tell me what's going on?

How old are the attys?
Can you pull it apart and connect just the atty (chimney off, in the base) to the battery and see if the coil heats up?

When I do that a small amount of vapor comes off it, but I don't see any heat (red/orange) from the coil.

Edit: Coil is maybe a week old.

pull the tip of the atty down some you may not be making full contact. what mod are you using?

How would I go about pulling the atty down? I'm using an MVP2.

Do a google search for "pull your post". There's a PBusardo vid for how to "pull" down the connector to make better contact. I had to do this on my Protank to get it to work with my SID. I'm not sure if it's the way they're designed or if it's just Chinese manufacturing inconsistencies, but all my Protanks and replacement heads seem to have shortish posts compared to my iClear 30's.

what type of battery are you using and what ohms are your heads?


For more vapor and a massive throat hit I prefer my Legal Vape 4000 (although I do draw some attention when I try to stealth vape at the theater)
