Welcome , and yes you have to hold the button as you draw . Don't inhale like a cigarette . Inhale into your mouth , let off the switch , and then inhale and exhale the vapor . On some stardusts , you may have to pull out / down the battery connection , so it will make contact with the battery on the twist . Good Luck . Let us know if your still not getting it to work .

Vision Vivi Nova 5ML v2.5

You may want to get this ASAP as a back-up. Search for Vivi Nova 2.5 on ECF or youtube. It's a great tank with a twist.

I do not want to panic you but the Stardusts can be crap and fail at any point. Search for them here on ECF too... Some people love them if you get the 2.0 versions and rebuild them and snuggle them, others find them leaky crap. The problem is that the clearomizer market has no QC--one Stardust may work great, the next have a leaky seal and be in the trash. If you are new and are depending on Stardusts and have no cartomizers (reliable--carTOmizers not clearomizers) or good solid back-up like the vivi, you may be sad when they fail. Do not put your smoking life just in the hands of Stardusts. Smokeless Image has a "Stardust" knock-off which is a cheap piece of garbage and not the same as the "stardust" 2.0 rebuildable from gotvapes--so people use the name based on the model and it's EASY to buy a piece of trash knock-off.

Get some solid cartomizers ASAP or a vivi as back-up now!

Thanks, Ralikar. I agree. I've been messing with the Stardust 2.0's all day and I'm not really impressed. I have two of them. One seems to work better than the other. I use one for a Dekang tobacco flavour, and the flavour is OK. I'm using the other one for a flavour that I used to enjoy in a cartomizer which is Juicy Peach. All day, the peach has tasted burnt using the Stardust. Someone recommended loosening the drip tip to improve the flavour, and this worked. I loosened the whole clearomizer unit and the drip tip a bit and the peach tasted really good, however, now it leaks. It leaked all inside my new eGo Twist battery which could have ruined it. You can't vape when the Stardust is tight, and you can't sit it down anywhere or tilt it when it's loose. I've read nothing but good things about the Vivi Nova 2.5 clearomizers, so I'll pick one up ASAP. I wish I'd skipped the Stardusts and just went with Vivi Nova 2.0's in the first place. Live and learn. I guess the Stardusts will go into a box for back-ups.

I haven't tried the Vivi's but I have 3 of the new T2's and they are fantastic!!!

Is there a secret to making it wick? I have a second Stardust. Filled it with 70/30 tobacco flavour..

Since you're trying to use what you have bought, before you run out and buy something else.........

Take some drags on it BEFORE you turn on the heat or press the button on your battery. this will pull the juice up

Also, once the tip is on right and screwed down, you may turn the stardust down a little to better saturate the wicks as well

Sometimes you have to loosen the mouthpiece a tad so it has better air.

I love my vision rebuildables. :)

Make sure you get the Vivi 2.5 not 2.0.

I'm suggesting it as a solid backup--it's more leak proof than the kanger and hassle free. I'm not suggesting it has to be your primary vape but you need some solid hassle free leak proof thing while (if) you learn Stardusts/Kangers etc. Even if it sits and gathers dust--like a pack or two of cartomizers. Just in case...

This weekend I got a Smoktech Dual Coil Tank V2. It's a cartomizer within a juice tank. The cartomizer has a hole in the bottom so that juice feeds through bottom. Carto stays wet and lasts longer. It's more reliable than a clearomizer IMO. Have had nothing but a great experience with this. Not a single dry hit. Nice taste. I love it.

Also picked up a mini Vivi Nova for my ego Twist. I like that too. I'm really skeptical using clearo's after the SD experience, but so far, the Vivi has been great.

When using Smok (DCT) V2 or mini Vivi Nova with ego twist battery, order a "battery cone" that fits over where the tank screws into the battery. It keeps the shape consistant and you can also control air intake by tightening or loosening the cone.

Also picked up bridgeless atomizer, drip shield, and drip tip. These can be used to sample new juices one drip at a time without ruining a cartomizer or messing up your clearomizer. I plan to order a bunch of sample sized juices to drip and see which ones I like.

Today is 3 weeks without a drag from an analog. Couldn't have done it without e-cigs. If you have a bad experience with Stardust, try the Smok dual coil tank or vivi nova mini. I was discouraged by the burning plastic taste for a few days, but now I found some accessories that work much better for me. You will find yours too. Some people have great experiences with Stardusts on the first try. I didn't. Just wanted to throw out some positive feedback for the Smoktech DCT V2, since they don't seem to get a lot of attention in this section.

Well I am glad you are finding your grove, but so you know the vivi nova is a clearo, just it is a rebuildable that happens to also be a tank.

I wish I'd skipped the Stardusts and just went with Vivi Nova 2.0's in the first place.

I skipped all the other clearos and went with the vivi nova, and I'm glad I did. No regrets. My smoktech cartos haven't been used in a while.

The heads are rebuildable, but I'm not sure that's fair. I hesitate to believe that they're in the same league with the zenisis and the other high end stuff, but……I'm sure there's some form of diminishing returns in there somewhere. Plus, you don't have to rebuild the vivi nova.

This weekend I got a Smoktech Dual Coil Tank V2.…nothing but a great experience
That does not match my experience with smoktech cartos. But good on ya'. Use whatever works. Mostly, I don't like the way they seem to fail…smoktechs for me seem to flood like mad with no warning when they're ready to die; the vivi nova just keeps getting gunkier and dirtier until the vape quality diminishes……and so far that just means they need to be cleaned.

Today is 3 weeks without a drag from an analog.
Congrats.

I'd suggest the vivi nova as a primary over smoktech cartos or clearos at this point. It's been hands-down better for me. If you're using cartos that are better than the smoktechs I've been getting, I could see preferring them……but not based on my experience.
