As far as i know. its not. Just to smooth the threads.

If you really want you can ask for Anti Corrosion compounds / Anti-seize compounds from Hardware stores. if you search hard enough you should be able to find some.. if you come across Noalax in sg, Shout out please.. Im interested to try too.. nearly all my current go to gears are SS.

I've got some copper-mineral oil based anti-seize from dow corning iirc lying around somewhere in my storeroom. It's 5yrs expired from it's shelf life. I still use it to coat my car's spark plug threads. If u wan some of it can PM me. I'll just scoop some of it into a container(it's kinda watery) and taqbin(pay by recipient) to uall.

Thanks for the offer Karl! The Op actually tickled my interest in searching for noalox again and i realized now some of the UK/US sites have them for sale in small qty. HOWEVER. I came across a post here

which.. hmm.. gave me all the more reason to stick to my Vaseline. LOL
Something you should look at, schenjo1.
