Hey guys... sorry for all the stupid quistions.
but i bought a new Kangertech K-box Platinum and after dripping i randomly put it towards my ear, and heard this little "rasstle" or buzzing noise, at the end of the mod its a very Very small noise tho ... tried changing my battery, - didnt help, the Ohm and all looks like it should ...,
so my guess is its current ruinning threw the mod ??

is this normal ? should i be worried ?

Let me know!

It makes a difference whether you mean it makes that sound when you press the fire button, or it just makes the sound on it's own.

I assume you mean the sound is coming from the dripper since you specify "after dripping".

Sounds like its the 'rattlesnake' sound from the PWM modulation used to step up the voltage.

if the sound occurs without a dripper or tank attached, then that would be surprising/concerning

Your mod is just a little out of shape thats all , similar to us humans straining to do something when we make the "huff and puff" sound.

In actuality i believe it is the type of modulation like "edyle" said , it is normal and there are those that can explain it better than i can .

Keep it away from your ear and the noise won't be as noticeable ( like going into a different room when wifee is on the attack and closing door behind you) it helps.

the sound comes of it own ..... not while pressing the fire button, but around 5-10 sec. after.
the noise is kind of a little buzzing noise, kinda if you imagine a eletric small buzzing ...

the sound comes WITH and without a tank/dripper. ..tho the sound is higher with a atomizer or a mod on..

well .. ive only had it for 1 day, and i paid 400 DKK for it , so its a fair amount for a mod ... so i expect it to work without any noise!?

- think iam going to call the store tommorrow, and ask if i can get the new one, or if i just have to live with it :(

Ah yes Arnold , nobody wants a mod thats coughing up a lung and about to expire when it's new , good luck , they should exchange it if you just bought it and your not happy , good luck .

just inductor coil rattle in the voltage conversion process. Nothing to worry about.

Please check that:
take the tank/dripper off.
And press the button.
If you hear a noise while holding the button down or after a few seconds that does not sound right.

It's normal to get a buzzing or crackling sound from the topper/tank/dripper.

i can tell you that without a dripper/tank on it, it dosnt make the noise. when i simply press the botton. but after standing still for like 10 sec, the noise comes.

thanks guys. ill write the outcome tomorrow.
