I bought a Paragon clone, but the 510 pin isn't adjustable and there's a nice gap between the top cap and the bottom of the rda. I love the mod - it fits nicely in my hand (I have small hands) and the slightly recessed switch is easy to operate and it just looks great. Any solutions for "fixing" the gap between the dripper and top? Black delrin washers as spacers, maybe?

Chipotle.
With enough force I'm sure the pin could be pushed or tapped out from the top side provided that the pin is not somehow threaded into the insulator. Honestly I wouldn't be at all surprised if the plastic insulator came out with it too depending on the clone, I had a paragon clone whose top pin was extremely stiff inside the insulator, had to tap it out from the top going through the 510 connection hole with the atomizer off and battery out and the insulator and pin came out together.

It doesn't have the adjustment screws in the pic?

It has the adjustable pin for the battery, but not for the 510 connection for the RDA. If I think about it tomorrow, I'll try to get a picture.

No; back the screw out; screw in the topper all the way, then screw in the screw to make solid contact.
If there is only one screw at the top, then that screw is the 510 adjustment screw
and
the adjustment for battery size would have to be made by leaving the topcap and/or bottom cap less than completely threaded in

I understand what you are saying, but that screw does nothing as far as adjusting for the atty. it's the same gap for almost all of my rdas. One is slightly smaller, but not by much. Here:

I might see about tapping it out. If not, maybe some delrin washers just to hide the gap.

You have taken out the battery adjustment screw.
The next piece of metal is the center pin, which ought to unscrew out; if it does not, then that's a pretty useless mod in my opinion.
Every tom .... and harry mech mod uses an adjustable centerpin screw so chances are you just have not tried hard enough to unscrew that screw.

This is the topcap from my king mod, showing the battery adjustment screw, the (loooong! ) centerpin screw, and even the insulator ring unscrews.

$3 m21x1 topcaps from fasttech:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/3023/10009370/1589801

Which reminds me; at $3 each it will soon make sense for me to buy a 10-pack of these, and screw them semi-permanently onto my tanks
.... soon as I figure out how to change my pressfit regulated mods to m21x1 topthead; I'll probably press in a kicktube on top.

And: found an example:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10008656/1776301-paragon-style-18650-mechanical-mod

This example of a paragon style on fasttech and the description on this one does specify adjustable centerpin.
Details:

•510 connector
•Adjustable 510 center pin
•Copper contacts
•Positive contact is adjustable
•Bottom spring-loaded firing button, with reverse threaded locking ring
•PVC sticker on the tube
•Houses single 18650 battery (battery sold separately)
•The Chinese made mod may stamped with "MADE IN THE U.S.A" on the bottom

ALL my mechs are adjustable center pin.
I have about 3 chiyou
a king, astro, nemesis, stingray, m16 sentinel and private v2.

the private v2 was the only one that didn't seem adjustable at first, but actually it, is, it's just difficult; you have to use a long nosed pliers to reach down inside the tube to do it.

the m16 sentinel is actually spring loaded, so it's a newbie friendly centerpin.

the stingray is totally loose! you just screw your topper on; then when you screw up the rest of the stringray, you just screw everything thing in until everything is snug; the only downside/trick to that is it means you don't have a sealed centerpin, so you don't want to put something like a carto or protank on there where liquid can leak down.

On many clones the screw head isn't slotted or hexed or roughened in anyway but you we can just do that ourselves using hacksaws or files.

Paragon seems to be M20x1

It's listed here as m20x1 and I also saw that on fasttech forum searches.
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10008656/1974702-paragon-style-18650-mechanical-mod
the regular non "midnight" Paragon clones I've come in to contact with are ALL M20X0.75 thread, which is a very odd choice. The Authentic 4nine also uses M20x0.75 thread and I checked with one of them to be sure about my old paragon clone, it was indeed M20X0.75.

Edit: The identical mod to my old one is pictured by the OP of this thread, that pin DOES come out but you have to really really force it out, very tight friction fit in the top insulator. It's supposed to be a "floating" adjustable style but the pin is just too tight in the insulator.

The 510 on my Yeashmo Paragon is machined into the top cap. I'll see if I can post a decent pic for you, but all I have is a phone camera. Yep, it ain't coming out. Yes, I consider it a bad clone. As I said, I only use it when I need to. If another member was desperate due to financial difficulty, I would donate it to him or her. It does work, it just bugs me.
