I actually quit cigarette smoking back in 1977. Yes 36 years ago. They were 40 cents a pack then. I started smoking fine cigars about 10 years ago. At first I was only smoking 2 or 3 cigars a week and never more than 1 in a day. The cigars I smoke range from 4 to as much as 10 bucks a stick. The last couple of years I find myself smoking cigars just about every day and on occasion more than one in a day. I still enjoy cigars though I haven't smoke one in the week I have been using my e-cigarette. I don't inhale the e-cigarette but puff on it the same as I did with cigars. My goal is to get back to smoking maybe 2 cigars a week. I can use the e-cigarette the rest of the time. I really enjoy smoking a cigar while watching football with a glass of Jack on the rocks. The health concerns and expense of daily cigar smoking has me attempting this alternative. If I find I cannot control my cigar smoking to a couple a week, I'll have to force myself to stop cigars altogether and maybe use only e-cigarettes or quit all nicotine products.

I LOVED a cognac El Sublimado....OMG i loved those cigars even at over $10 a piece for churchills. Ive been a Backwoods and cigarello smoker for many years after quitting cigarettes but i still inhaled those.

I have not found a e-liquid with a flavor that compares to a good cigar BUT Ry4 with a drop or two of extra sweet grape or blueberry is nice when puffed like a cigar.

Thanks for the replies. I will check into your suggestions. I ordered an e-cigar online and received it yesterday. It's supposed to taste like a cigar but it's nothing like a cigar to me. I don't like it at all.

I agree. It won't taste anything like a good quality cigar. I know for me I initially looked for something to get me off the the cigarettes. My first setup 4 years ago was disappointing in the fact it didn't taste even remotely like a cigarette to me. But since I spent the money I may as well get give it a shot. One day led to a another and a week went by. Then I looked for something better in both juice and hardware. There wasn't all that much available back then but now days there's tons of stuff out there.
I still smoke cigars, and still even own a popular cigar forum and I was able to successfully lay the cigarettes down thanks to ecigs. To this day though I still have not found a juice that even comes close to a well aged Esplendido or Partagas Serie D No. 4, or any cigar for that matter.

Hang in there

When I lived in Canada I would get cigars from my brother in law. He is a Food and Beverage exec and would do the Cigar conventions and get a few boxes after each event. These were all Cuban variety and I got hooked quickly. What I didn't realize is the cost of some of these puppies when I tried to buy them in store. My favorite was Cohiba (any size really) but the large churchill ones were $50 a pop (this was 20 years ago lol) so it was a special treat now and then.

There are juice vendors who specialize in cigar flavors. Or you can extract them on your own with a bit of research. I'm sure other cigar lovers will chime in and give you some feedback on where to grab some juice that may satisfy you. Take it with a grain of salt cause taste is subjective.

I'm a cigar smoker. I stopped about six weeks or $300.00 dollars ago. Granted, I've spent about $200.00 on E-cig paraphernalia, but in th long run, I believe it will be worth it. I smoked about 4 dog-walkers a day, along with the occassional 50 once or twicw a week. I enjoyed it, but I also found myself smoking more and not really enjoying it. So i've changed one nicotin dlivry device for another. I use the e-cig more than I smoked, but i'm starting to vape more moderately and I've reduced from 18ml to 11 or 6. Is that better? I don't kno yet. Nicotine is nicotine, but one thing for sure - those other 4000 or so chmicals that came with my cigars aren't in my stainless steel clearomizers. I love smoke - don't love cancer. Stay with the machine. It could be a lot less costly in more ways than one. Good luck to you.

I just discovered Backwoods' Cherry Tobacco. WOW! Lots of vapor and a great taste. I use an ARO clearo with the voltage set at 8 and the watts at 4. I'm going to try others. I understand they are RY4 juice makers. Not sure that's a thing, but the e-liquid they produce is so far the bomb. Could be the clearo, but I'll tell you later.

I like Cuban's but I think they are over rated. They are considered contraband in the U.S. but I always pick some up when I travel out of the country including Canada. I just purchased a bunch in Mexico last April while on a cruise. There are several cigar shops in my area but I mostly buy them online at much lower prices. I can get a cigar online for $4 that could cost $7 locally.

I spent at least 150.00 a month on cigars. I'm not sure how far I'm going to take this vaping thing but I'm sure I will be spending a lot less than that. I still may smoke 1 cigar a week while watching my favorite football team (go Eagles!!) It's when I enjoy them the most.

Sound good. I'll check into that.
