Hey guys, I am about to purchase my first ecig and want to avoid some mistakes. I have done a bit of study but never using one, still a little lost. I am about a pack and a half non filtered menthol smoker and need an ecig/liquid that will satisfy me. Throat hit (inhale feeling) is very big to me, I have tried to quit many times but its the feeling of the inhale that pulls me back. So far I am thinking of getting ego-c 1000ma Pass through starter kit some of the questions I have are....

Anyone know a good heavy hitter menthol/cigar style flavor?

Most smokers go with 36mg nic mix, do you think that will work ok with a non-filter chain smoker?

Second: I know use it based on the smoker but if I vape a ton, about how long with a 50ml bottle last?

Now I have heard that PG is stronger so I was looking at a 90% pg and 10%vg with 36mg double flavor does that sound about right or will it be to strong?

Also I am doing this to save money and my health, so should I get higher nic MG and dilute, if so what's a good recourse for that?

Any extra pieces I should order?

I will be ordering in the next few days and appreciate any advice. I will be spending the next few days browsing the forums on reputable dealers.

Thank again.

Hello,

Newbie here.
I have read many threads and posts over the last month.
I have see the following many times.
"Don't get anything that looks like a cigarette"

I do not understand this advice in regard to a smoker of 10-50 years 1/2-3pack a day
when you have smoked that long, the habit , look and feel are part of successfully making a switch, maybe not for all , but for many.

Yes short batteries have a shorter life, but I can keep my 49 year habit mostly intact and that is where I have always had trouble quitting, Nothing to replace the habit that has brought comfort a joy to me for a long time.

Sorry if it sound like a rant, but i guess it sorta is one.

Just don't understand.
Maybe in a month or 2 Ill be willing to change the look and feel some, but for now , nope.

thanks for reading

Don't get anything that looks like a cigarette. It won't have the power you need.

Agreed. The Ego, especially with a pass thru should be ok to start. Make sure you get an extra battery or two as well - when it's not plugged in, you may drain the battery(s) pretty fast. I'd try just the regular flavor to start - I don't recommend buying alot of any juice til you know you will like it. Higher PG means more flavor. Higher VG means more vapor. I would buy several types (different vendors) in 5-10 ml to start with. As I dont use menthol, not really sure which juice to suggest, but some vendors can add menthol to any juice & offer it as an option. I was a 2 PAD camel smoker (35 yrs), but not menthol. I liked the flue-cured from smokeanywhereforpennys & it does have a bold flavor/TH at 24 mg/ml.
Nic level is the single biggest factor in TH

You were right when you said "just don't understand".

Itty bitty e-cigs just don't have the power or battery life to satisfy 95% of the folks that are trying to save their lives by quitting cigarettes. So it's foolish in my mind to recommend them. An absolute minimum starting point should be with 650 mah batteriesand LR cartos.

If it works for you, that's all that really matters. I, however, like to use one battery per day. Just dont want to carry so much, especially at work. My present APV uses an 18650 battery @ 3100mah. Bogger-Bee (347x640).jpg

Ok,

Guess Ive rolled my own for so long that keeping a battery or 2 charged to get me though the day is no biggy for me.
I don't buy disposable lighter I fill my zippo up as needed.

I understand that the general feeling is that to start with a mini will not satisfy someone.

I also know I have a different perspective about this and my reason for stopping the burning and inhaling of tobacco is different than most.

My reason for changing my habit has to do with me stopping the abuse of that sacred tobacco plant.
Not to quit smoking or some habit that lets me keep that habit.

Maybe it my perspective that has me not understanding.

thanks one and all for the input.

I did have a Zippo as well (still do in fact- several) I was a chain smoker, now a chain vaper:laugh:, so was using 4-5 of those cig-alike batteries just while at work. And 8-10 carts too.
As I said, if it works for YOU, that's what matters most.
Not satisfy ( I quit smoking using an ego clone), just 'not enough', that's all.
We all have opinions, different perspectives. Be awfully boring if we didnt:toast:

Yep, give it some time and if you decide, like I did, a month or two into this that your mini isn't doing the job for you, you'll end up getting a bigger mod. But there's nothing wrong with getting your feet wet with a mini, I still like my Greensmoke, I just got tired of constantly charging it and buying the cartos for it got to be too expensive..... (not that playing around with numerous juices and accessories for my Lavatube has proved to be cheaper - it's just a lot more FUN)...LOL!
