Hi all,
I've tried reading the sticky threads on this forum for those new to e-cigarettes and there doesn't seem to be a clear cut answer to what I'm wondering.

I just discovered about e-cigs and even took a puff from one and naturally I was quite blown away. However, I'm a non smoker (never smoked, though I do smoke only the Hookah).. and I do enjoy not only the act of smoking but the sensation of the vapour coming out of the mouth.

So I was wondering, is there an E-Cigarette that has refills that do not contain nicotine or any other addictive substances? Perhaps one that just vaporizes water? or something?

I'd totally like to get one if there is such a thing.

Appreciate your help! :)

Wow, thanks for the quick responses! :)

What do these 0mg nicotine e-juices contain? Will there be trace amounts of nicotine in them by any chance? I prefer those that are completely free of nicotine or any other addictive substances.

Also, there seem to be an overwhelmingly huge amount of brands of e-cigs.. is there any particular brand that is recommended for nicotine-free vaping?

Thanks a lot. :)

All electronic cigarette juice is made with either vegetable glycerin (VG) or propylene glycol (PG) and flavoring, and perhaps some water, and/or perhaps some alcohol, and perhaps a few other little things.

It can have nicotine in varying strengths, including none at all if you wish.

But if you want, you can easily make your own, and then you'll know exactly what is in it.
You just need to use some combination of VG and PG mixed to your liking, along with flavoring.

If you're interested in making your own, check out the DIY Liquid subforum here.

Unless you're interested in the... designer(?) flavors, mixing it yourself is probably even preferable to using premixed.
If you like hookahs, you'll probably love the fruit flavors that you can get out of lorann's, and those can be found in any cake/candy supply shop, and most walmart-types as well. Same with the glycerine, and pg can be found at most pharmacies (you usually have to ask for it, but occasionally they put it in with the skin care products on the shelf).

If the liquid is too thick, just add some alcohol (pure grain alcohol is usually suggested, I use 80 proof vodka with no problems).

As for your actually vaping equipment- anything will do just fine. Nicotine content really doesn't effect the performance. So read around on the some of the reviews and descriptions, and try to pick something that looks nice, sounds pleasant, and feels right- FOR YOU.
We've all got very different opinions on what's best.

The one other suggestion I'd give you- if you're not already smoking, and you really want to try vaping out (more than a puff lol) buy a cheap starter kit. You don't want to overinvest in something that you don't plan to use daily as a replacement crutch like the rest of us nicotine addicts do lol

You can buy no-nic juice from virtually any supplier.

Even better & cheaper - mix your own using glycerin & water, roughly 75%/25% but experiment with small batches to get a consistency you like. (Never tried 100% water - probably too thin & runny and not sure it would vape too well either.

They contain Vegetable Glycerine and/or Propylene Glycol and flavoring.

The FDA has tested some and have found varying nicotine levels in cartridges. Some contained more than labeled, some contained less, and even a few of the cartridges labeled as 0mg contained some.

These aren't proven to be safer than cigarettes, but I *believe* they are, from my general improvement in health. However, I would say that there isn't any proof these are safe to use. Speculations abound. There may be a risk to your health. Proceed with caution.

TastyVapor would have to be my favorite place to go for juice needs atm.

Ni nic e-liquid is available everywhere. CAREFULL, the tobacco flavors (only) will contain very small amounts of nic even in zero strength (about 1 mg./ml.). This is because the flavoring comes from tobacco leaf extract. Just buy some VG (vegatable glycerin) at Walmart and cut the viscosity with distilled water. If you find it lacking in flavor, you can buy Loranne flavoring & experiment adding to your taste. Alternately, you can buy flavored VG. Tasty Vapors sells flavored VG in 4 oz. (about 120 ml.) bottles for $12. Glycerin is very natural, used in many food products, gets absorbed into the bloodstream (like eating it), metabolizes as glucose, and is completely non-toxic. No worries. Dr. G.

However, I will say that it isn't completely safe to vape these.
It might not only be completely safe, it might even be better for you than NOT doing it.

There have been studies on propylene glycol inhalation that show no adverse affects on monkeys.
There have been studies on the use of propylene glycol used in all fog machines across the planet.
There have been studies that show propylene glycol is a fantastic anti-bacterial agent.

And there have been many studies showing the positive benefits of nicotine.
So blanket statements should be avoided, in my opinion.

Will edit my post to present it as opinion. You're correct, was completely worded wrong.

Just wish to mention the post quoted is what could happen when you use blanket statements and fail logic. We should all work on finding out the real positive and negative effects of smoking these, in lieu of speculations based on outdated and slightly irrelevant studies.

E-cigs are a newer technology, introducing a new combination of substances into our bodies. As for their toxicity, the jury is still out, as there are no definitive studies proving these are safe to use. However, I believe these are a safe-r alternative to smoking
