So life has been good with my provari and boge cartos for the past 2 weeks. I am now about to buy cartos and I am not really sure what i need to be buying.

The box that i have in hand is identical to how these look.

Boge Mix'n'Match 5 Box Deal

What i dont know however is if I need dual coil or single coil cartomizers. My box says "510XL SR Stainless punched"

I dont see any website that sells these cartos informing anything about dual or single coil. So which do i need? Ive only vaped on standard resistance, what kind of a difference would low resistance have?

I also want to buy a few more tanks, ive heard ibtanked is probably one of the best. If i do buy them, would i be buying the 22mm or 25mm tank, or would they both work with the XL size carto.

Thank you for any answers.

Your box says punched? I take it you are using these with a tank then.

My box says "510XL SR Stainless punched"

510 is the connection, XL refers to the longer carto, SR means standard resistance (3.0 ohms), stainless means no black wrapper, punched means they have holes. These are single coil Boges, and they are a pretty good carto, especially for the price.

As the above image shows, if you wish to continue using the longer XL cartos, you'll want an XL tank.

Above are the XL 19mm and 22mm IBTanks on Provari's, respectively. The 19mm tank will be the same diameter as the top of the Provari's top cone. The 22mm will be the same diameter as the Provari's body; there are Pro Rings (beauty rings) that can be bought from various vendors (Provape doesn't sell them) to make a 22mm tank look flush with the body (and hide the indentation of the top cone) as shown in the above pic.

The 19mm XL tank has a 2 ml capacity; the 22mm XL tank has a 5 ml capacity.

LR (low resistance cartos) are meant for fixed voltage mechanical mods. You will want to get either SR (standard resistance 2.0 - 2.5 ohm) or HR (high resistance 2.5 - 3.0 ohm) for the Provari. I prefer 3.0 ohm, as that resistance will allow you to use voltages 3.4 - 5.0 volts to take full advantage of the Provari's variable voltage range. I also prefer single coils; dual coils really offer no advantage and will drain your battery faster, IMHO.

As you can clearly see from the above Safe Vaping Power Chart, a 3.0 ohm carto will offer more options in voltage range than a low or standard resistance cartomizer.

Here is a cartotank setup guide that I've created: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Here is a review that I did for the IBTanked cartotanks: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3318-3-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks-review.html

Here's a resource to online vendors that sell pre-punched cartomizers: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3295-2-sample-list-vendors-selling-pre-punched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

Thanks Baditude, I was just looking for your blog to post the link, I don't think I need to now.
