Noob Battery Charging Question

First, let me say that I did search this on the forum as well as on Google, but I may not be using the right words because I got nothing back (well nothing that really answered my question anyway). I purchased a starter kit from CigEasy (KR808) and everything arrived today. Everything is really nice and I am loving the passthrough, but I can't tell if my batteries are charging. The included instructions say that they are charged when the USB turns blue, but I've had one battery on the charger for 3.5 hours now and the light is still red. The tip of the battery will flash three times when I plug it in and the charger light is blue for a few seconds, but then it turns red and occasionally flashes blue with the steady red continuing to stay on the whole time. Am I just being impatient or is it not charging? How long does it typically take for a completely dead battery to charge? I really need to get some sleep now, will it damage the battery to leave it on the charger all night?

charger is doing what it is supposed to do, it can take several hours to charge, and I have left it charging all night all the time the light will change from red to blue when it is ready

Thank you for letting me know. The instructions weren't all that clear on how the charger functioned. I was starting to wonder if Murphy's Law hadn't kicked in on me. Of course as soon as I noticed your reply I looked over at the charger and the light was blue. Lol. It couldn't happen any other way, right?
