noob cart question

I like using and refining cartomizers, I know they're supposed to be refilled before they are dry. At the first sign of an empty cartomizers I will refill them.

So I was wondering, my last 2 carts I took a puff and got the burnt taste so I knew they were empty, and I stopped using them. I did not have juice handy so I switched to new pre filled cartomizers.

Those other carts have been sitting around dry for a couple of weeks... is it worth re filling them now, or would I just be wasting my time and my juice?

Blow them out to help get the old juice out and I would refill them. I have done this and had no problems.
You could clean them (several ways shown on YouTube) if you wanted to as well and then refill them.

Try one cart and see if it works out for you. They should work just fine for many refills. Look on this forum for great ideas on how to fill them. The one I use is to take the filler out and cut half of it off then put drops of e-jucie in the cart about 3/4 full then stuff one of the pieces you cut back in the cart. Then drip a few drops on top on the filler until it is moist. Then put it back on the atty and let sit for a couple of minutes then ENJOY. After a few refills you can just wash out the filler and dry it and use it again.

@ wyojoe. The OP was referring to cartomizers and not cartridges.

The cartos should be fine to refill. I've left some dry and unused for several days and I had no issues after they were refilled.
