Noob emergency!

Hi,

I've been vaping about 3 weeks now I guess and loving it. I recently ordered some cartomizers and a drip tip and have been using an atomizer in the meantime. Well, my atomizer suddenly tastes burnt. Just cleaned and fresh and I was dripping... it tastes horrible! To make matters worse, my package came today and I thought, oh good! I don't have to worry about the atty because here are my cartomizers. Well, they sent me the wrong size of everything. Wrong cartomizer size, wrong drip tip size, wrong dripomizer size. Crap. Can I save my atty? Am I screwed until this can be sorted out? Help!

I'm mad because I'm new so didn't recognize that they were the wrong size until I had completely filled a cart with one of my favorite liquids. : ( Guess that's wasted. I'll be even more angry and grumpy if I have to wait for a new atty or carts to ship and have nothing to get me by in the meantime. (btw- I did order two attys with my original kit but one was defective out of the box so I am also waiting for the replacement for that which is taking its sweet time getting here...)

What kind of atty are you using?

Have you tried removing the wick? This is usually the first thing to get a burnt taste to it, removing it can help.

There is a way to clean your attty - atomizer...in the Tips and tricks section of this forum....it's called my atty or atomizer resuriction method. It works...just be careful to` follow it well.

Oops... sorry. I guess that's important info. I'm using a 510 atty with an ego pass thru. I'm not sure how to remove the wick. Wouldn't that destroy the atty? Unless I'm confused about what the wick is.

The wick is what holds the eliquid prior to vaporization. Often a small piece of cloth or in some cases foam.

The wick is under the bridge and enclosed by the coil. When removing the wick strands, take it slow and easy. Your coil will no longer have the ability to wick juice once you have removed the strands. This pretty much turns the atomizer into a dripper only. You will drip juice directly into the atomizer, around 3-4 drops and vape for 6-10 hits and then drip again. It does no good to have a filled cartridge at this point. Remove the filler from your mouth piece and use it as a drip tip-just do dripping through it. Remove the cart and drip-replace cart to use pv. This also makes the e-liquid have a more pronounced flavor-IMO.
