Noob flashlight mod question

I am interested to mod a flashlight as battery holder, but have NO experience at all with electronics. So I am wondering which is the easiest way to get this done.

I actually have one of these flashlights at home:

Pro: The switch is already where I want it, and you need to press it to get light... so I am assuming that would make modding the switch unnecessary. It takes 3xAAA - does that mean I can get a 14500 or 18-whatever in there, or does that require additional modding? If it requires additional mods... what kind of battery set-up should I look for when searching for a more or less mod-free flashlight?

I am assuming that I just need to remove the light unit (which in this case should be easy), then use a 510 wired thingy from Madvapor and a fitted metal top to replace the light. Attached by soldering, right?

If I am thinking along the wrong lines, please let me know; I'm a girl, though, please keep that in mind.

14500 batt with a spacer i think and also if the body is aluminum its gona be hard to solder on to.

Thanks - it's stainless steel, actually. I am shopping around for a less expensive case, though... would hate to destroy this one with inept first tries. And need to find a European supplier instaed of MadV, make it easier to get these tiny parts. We'll see.... won't happen this month, I think.

It kinda does, but I like the way hers separates close to the button, hmm please hamburgerperle, tell us where you got that and what brand it is if you know. looks promising for a upcoming project I am thinking of!

Those are certainly very nice looking, but a bit expensive to build a mod from. At least for me.
