Hi, I purchased an E-Lite e-cig from Sainsburys to help me stop smoking. I have got on well with it, just having 1/2 analog smokes a day. I have had it 4 days now.

But what I'm after now is something else I can refill as it can ger very expensive going through a tip a day with the e-lites. I have seen the Liberro Realis starter kit with 2 batteries (90mAh) 6 refillable cartomisers, a PCC (1, 200 mAh) which is a must for it to last all day and keep all my needs together. This is £28 witha 20% reduction from Liberro. But is it any good as its alot cheaper than the e-lites alternative.

But the real question do I stick with analogue look-a-likes or do I go with something different. The main issue is price. I have about £50 to spend. I like everythibg about the e-lites apart from taste and price, vapour and throat hit are good.

So sorry for the long post but has anyone got any suggestions?

Most everyone (but not all) want a look-a-like at first. Mine was the kr808d. Most everyone soon gets tired of needing 4 batteries in rotation. I got over it needing to be small like most people do and wanted to find something that functions well. A good stepping stone from where you are is a twist and a carto tank. Your price limit may not get you there though. Maybe some of our Europe brothers and sisters can recommend something in your range.

Maybe something along the lines of:
BIANSI eGo-T Starter Kit 1100 mAh
BIANSI eGo-T Starter Kit 650 mAh
Trueman eGo-RS Starter Kit 900 mAh

Much in keeping with the post above I went from the lookalike cigarette to the TW tornado tank which is a little like the 1st two of the options above - where you pull out a one piece plastic mouth piece juice reservoir from a code which can contain a changeable or fixed wick. They are okay but for me they leaked a fair bit, the quality of the replaceable wicks was very inconsistent and prone to dry burn/ burnt flavour taste.

I moved from that to a clearomiser such as innokin dual coil or nova/ mini nova single coil - these are far more consistent and when paired with a variable voltage battery more controllable. They are easier to live with and the ones I've used don't leak.

I haven't yet tried things like boge cartomisers either on their own or within a tank but people rave about the flavour and vape quality so it's on my list of things to try.

I suppose what I'm saying is try and move straight to a system or components that will co-exist. Good vv batteries are a must in my view like "ego c twist" then you can decide whether the latest gen clearos or cartomisers suit you best, not to mention finding the right vape/ flavour/ mix that suits you - as we are all different.

I use vapescape mostly now although also use Totally wicked for some stuff - there are links to many other suppliers and in fairness unless you've seen a bad review there's no reason why not to try them.

£50 will get you set-up use discount code ecf10 on vapeescape or look at the TW forums for their daily discount which can be 10-16% do not confuse with their yo-yo marketing which is a pain in the a*** if you ask me.

If You find that the above 2 suggestions are too expensive or big for you your liking then try something like the mini clearomizer kit here at vape escape Vision Crystal Mini Ego Kit £22.95 - Basic Vaping Kits - Vision Crystal Mini Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid
Then pick out some liquids. I'd suggest the pick n mix from the same web site as it's a good way to try lots of flavours. Don't think for a minute that the tobacco flavours will end up being your favourite. I was surprised.

Matt

I started off with a cigarette lookalike and found charging the battery constantly was a major pain and found myself having fags in between charges (not good!!!) The more I researched the more I fell in love with the world of vaping. There are many devices out there and many juice delivery systems. What are your long term intentions? Will you want to continue to vape as a hobby or just want a suitable device to stop the fags? I would recommend something from the Ego range I.e ego T or ego c with about a 650mah battery that will last you all day at this stage I would imagine and most kits come with the charger and 2 battery's to keep in rotation. I also recommend Boge cartomizers they are easy to fill and I find the best for flavour and throat hit. If your patient enough to wait for a delivery try health cabin or vapor break (both from china) cheap as chips and brilliant gear I have ordered from both. If you want something fast and shipped from uk try totally wicked or liberty flights both good for e liquid and try out the different flavours you will be surprised at how good some of them are.
Hope this helps :)

Hello & welcome Matt :)

You will do so much better with a Riva or ego kit as others have suggested.

This Riva kit is good value & from an excellent vendor -

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

If you want to check out other good UK vendors (discount codes shown were applicable) have a look at this list -

Oh dear Matt - you are on a very slippery slope (and i mean that in a nice way). I started with lookalikes and then moved on, its a whole new world you are entering and a healthier one, 46 days now without a ciggy after 50 years of smoking. I had the intention of quitting the evil fags and then throwing the electronics away but it has turned into a new passion, too many shiney thing to buy etc. But i must say i feel much better, more alert, sleeping better etc' etc'. Sorry off topic - some good advice above, have alook at the new 6 volt variable Ego or the Vision Spinners and maybe a mini nova tank. Enjoy!

Ok cool. Thanks Chrissie. I may go for that. And with the 10% discount works out well.

Thanks for all your help :). Still unsure about non cig lookalike but im sure it will be well worth it. Is there any extra consumables that I should order at the same time as the VE Riva 1100

Matt, you just need to order some e-liquid with the Riva. Then decide if you prefer using the cartomisers or clearomiser that comes with the kit. I think the majority of folks tend to prefer clearomisers, but I still prefer the draw on cartomiser :)

Due to their size, ciggie lookalikes have very poor battery life, & honest, you really will quickly get used to the larger size :D

I have got some juice on order. Cant remember where from. But I'm on my last tip, so I am heading off to wize-cigs.co.uk tomorrow as they are in my town. I don't know what they are like but at least I know where they live so to speak lol.

Whats the difference between a cartomiser and clearomiser. I know what a cartomiser is, as I've had these tips apart to check I can refill them. Just dont know what a clearomiser is/does.

Hey matt,
The difference between a cart and a clearo,is that a clearo usually has wicks in a clear tank so you can see how much juice you have in there.
Looking at the set up you have ordered,i would go with the mini vivi nova,it is nova`s all the way for me;i think they are brilliant.

As for carts, they are pretty much the same as the tips you are used to using, although you can get a refillable tank called a dct, into which you put the cart;and you can also see how much liquid you have left in there. Imho they are just too much messing about, with the vivi nova fill it and forget it,it would be a good starting point for you.

Hope this helps,and good luck.

Terry.

I haven't ordered anything yet, just the e-lite I picked up in sainsburys.

Arrgghh theres too many options lol. I'm going to shop tomorrow to pick up some juice to refill my tips, I will ask in there for advice too. Its easier to do in person than online on a keyboard! Lol. :)

Edit: oh yes I've ordered some juice online. Thats it so far lol.

Ok I went to the shop, they also said he has got the eGo CE4 double starter kit 1100 mAh for £35.60. Is this good or bad? Also its a manual battery. He doesnt sell autos anymore as they are rubbish and keep activating on their own. Thoughts?

Sorry for the constant posting. Just like to verify what I have been told.

P.S the flavour of juice isnt too bad. Not quite like tobocca and has a sweet kick to it. But pretty tasty :). And @ £ £4.49 for 10mls not badly priced either. I read somewhere it should be about 50p per ml.
