After 40 years, I'm finally analog cigarette free.
(never thought I'd see the day)

Many Thanks to the vaping community, for getting me started on this healthier, and more flavorful alternative.
Looking forward to becoming a contributing member to this Forum.
Did most of my research here, while lurking.
Kudos to all the e-cigarette forum members, who continue to share such a wealth of great information.

In return, I would like to share a recent e-juice find, for tobacco lovers, from a new LA-based company - Black Note:

Sonata - Cavendish blend, cold macerated from whole leaf tobacco (not cheap ~$1/ml)
- extremely complex tobacco flavor, with a noticeable sweetness throughout, and a throat hit which is virtually identical to analog smokes

Adagio - Cuban blend, cold macerated from whole leaf tobacco (not cheap ~$1/ml)
- a more complex and full bodied flavor, that will probably be a hit with cigar aficionados

Customer service was awesome: package arrived, USPS Priority / free shipping, in 3 days - and they included a small free sample of another flavor (Prelude)
Packaging is very classy: cardboard tubes, similar to five pawns.

Definitely the most realistic tobacco flavors and throat hit Ive found, after trying 6-8 others.
(when I want a tad more sweetness, I just mix the Black Note with some Red Oak Tennessee Cured)

Has anyone else tried any Black Note flavors, and if so, what are Your impressions?

btw: Currently running an iStick 30W (at 12-13 watts) with a Nautilus Mini - the flavor is delicious / moderate to good vapor production (not a cloud chaser)
- much tastier than the top-firing clearomizers I started with, and no leaks

.

hi smacuser,

My Nautilus Mini came with 1.8 ohm coils (one installed and a spare)
- their new Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC) with a ceramic wick.
- works great - was to fill
- stunningly good flavor

When you order a 5 pack of replacement coils ($15)
please note - they come in 1.6 ohm and 1.8 ohm varieties

I think you'll like your iStick 30W
- nice SS 510 female threads
- spring loaded contact point
- long battery life
- feels great in the hand
- love the OLED screen
What color did you get?
Mine is black - have seen blue and silver - they're nice too.

Das Auto,

Been down the RY4 road, but haven't tried it with caramel.
Sounds good, except for the overtones of vanilla I keep getting
- For some reason, I've burnt out on anything remotely vanilla, lately.

Other good (imho) tobacco flavors, that you may want to look into...
:
Kiln House Silverthorne (50/50 PG/VG) is pretty good: complex, earthy, hint of sweet, tobacco flavor

For a sweeter tobacco flavor, I really like Red Oak Tennessee Cured
(100% VG, and a lighter throat hit than I prefer, but oh so delicious)

Tennessee Cured has become a staple.
I use it frequently - mixed with other tobacco flavors - to add just a hint of sweetness
(20%-25% Tenn. Cured).

Good to know. There are some custom 1.0 ohm heads I want to try out once I get one.

These are suppose to last a super long time with cleaning and dry burning.

Right now, I'm using a 3.0 ohm carto tank. I have to remember to lock it, since I accidently fried my first carto at 17w on the second night. The iStick has lasted over 2 whole days without a recharge since I received it.

    What color did you get?

I bought the silver in order to reduce the appearance of scratch marks. I might try to find a skin for it down the road.

Before I picked up vaping, I was a 30 year smoker. I, too, enjoy tobaccos and have bought the Red Oak TC; pretty good IMO.
