Hey how's it going? My name is Kevin from Rochester, NY and I am relatively new to vaping. I just upgraded from my vision spinner 1 and 2 and grabbed a eLeaf 40W TC.

Currently running the 40W with my aspire nautilus mini on a 1.8 coil @ 15W and holy cow did it wake it up with this new mod. Tons of flavor and nice clouds.

I just ordered the eLeaf GS-Tank even after seeing the mixed reviews but so far it seems to just be dud coils or people not priming them. I'll make a review once I receive the tank and get it broken in and everything dialed up..but I am just getting into subohm let alone Temperature Control vaping so I'll deff. be doing more research before giving my final opinion on it.

Well I hope to learn more from this forum!

Welcome!
That all sounds excellent and good luck.
I have experience with the 22mm GS tank which uses the same 'pure cotton' eleaf air coils.
The wider tank is a good vape but there is the downside of having to wipe around the drip tip well/recess quite often and it floods on refilling. Regardless, I have 8 x 5-packs of the 1.2 to last me about a year and will order another 50 coils before the European lock-down in 3 months.
The TC coils do not work at all. Complete scam product I.m.o.

PS. Mini nautilus BVCs get hit and miss above 15w depending on liquid. I have presets on 3 of my mods set to 14.5w specifically for these coils. Some folk get even up to 18w but I've heard encouraging coil life nearer 12w to be honest.
Most tanks/ coils have some negative reviews. I can say though without 1% of dishonesty that gossip about bad/duff coils is not my experience; we're not talking 3rd rate Kanger coils hand assembled & worse than something a coil ' builder' could do half asleep after five vodkas. :) Nope, I started using BVCs within 2 weeks of Aspire switching from BDC and have not had one unusable coil in 2+ years.
Furthermore, my history with factory Nickel coils (Kanger Ni200) is worse than I can bear to discuss but I absolutely love the new SS coils. I build Kanthal and Stainless now for drippers and RTAs. Today, working like a champ (alongside a GS tank) I've got a Subtank made from a real Kanger base, a Chinese top-fill coloured glass section and the RBA version 2 rebuildable. They are less than $15 to put together.
Vape on! (Yes, I'm waiting for the tide on the beach....so just killing time :) )

Wow just my luck...I watched the IndoorSmoker guy on YouTube before I bought it and usually he's always on point with his reviews ugh...

Ditto. The BVC are great. I found my sweet spot to be @ 14W also. At 15W as long as I give it enough time to re wick the juice I have not had a dry hit yet..It's not to warm and not too cold and definitely helped control the flooding I was getting with the nautilus mini on my vision spinner [both versions 1 and 2] and to be honest I have been using the same 2 aspire bvc coils for half a year now with NO burnt taste at all...I have just been cleaning them with water from my keurig and all is peachy fine! *knock on wood*

The only internal battery I own.. Has a subtank mini on it sitting in a drawer as a backup :D

Deff. A great entry level box mod. I basically used the spinners to ween off cigs but soon fell in love with the flavor and the vapor clouds and here I am now on a forum doing research haha.

Now it's cars and vaping and it's all adding up and burning my wallet up but hey it's all for the love haha.

Very much appreciated. Basically answered all my questions in those threads.

Well haven't had the chance to use the eLeaf GS-Tank much last night but wow I am impressed. I paid $16.99 shipped and it came with Two .15 ohm TC coils. I just did 12 drips per air hole to pre wick the coil then let it steep while I drove home. First rip I did at 400 degrees to warm up the coil but not much was being produced. Cranked it to 450 and whoa! Better flavor and vapor than my nautilus mini and I think at fully open you can get a very decent lung hit. It choked me out because I wasn't expecting it hah. Ran it at 470 and man did I have my first real trip to vape city.

I am very impressed so far no dry hits yet and great flavor/vapor production. Deff. going to buy another one to have. I already ordered a set of TC coils and normal ones. Will do another review in a week

Thank-you, much appreciated.
Eleaf came out with a few versions before the one you now have.

GS-14, GS-16, GS-16s, GS-AIR M,
GS-AIR.
Maybe others as well. 2 or 3 different types of coils that work in one type but not others.

Looks like you got the latest and greatest GS tank. Cheers.

Ha yeah I did my research before I shelled out too much money. But I have a question and if anyone has a idea please feel free to chime in.

I just ordered a eLeaf TC 100W mod and forgot to order batteries with it. I just ordered a set of Panasonic NCR18650BE and I am not sure if they will work on my new mod. Here is a link with the specs on the batteries.
