Hey everyone. I'm new to the world of vaping, and recently upgraded from using Blu Premium100s to an eGo-C 1000mAh passthrough with eGo-CC clearomizer. So far, it's been amazing, but I had a few maintenance questions that I was hoping to get answered here. Any help would be appreciated!

  1. Should I vape until the clearomizer is completely empty of juice before refilling with a new flavor? Or does it hurt the atomizer to do that?
  2. How often should I clean the atomizers, and what is the best method? I'm using type A atomizers currently. Should I just drop them in boiling water for a few minutes in between flavor changes? Or more frequently?
  3. What about cleaning the clearomizer tank itself? Only between flavor changes? Should I boil that as well? Or just clean out with water?
  4. What is the best method to prime new type A atomizers before use? I've read that simply blowing into the bottom of it a few times does the trick, but wanted to be sure.

1. Not all the way empty. Yes it could hurt the wicking and the coil.

2. Clean atomizers when the draw gets too tight. I throw the coil unit into 151 proof vodka - for human consumption (although not advising that ;- ) and it cleans and dries quickly.

3. You could do the same for the tank.

4. No need to prime although on a new coil unit you might want to just puff, not inhale, the first few draws.

Hey Kent! Thanks for the response. Very helpful.

Not to sound dense, but can you elaborate on "not all the way empty?" 1/4 tank? Less? More?

Also, out of curiosity, what brand vodka are you using for the cleaning? And do you always clean between flavors? Thanks again!

Don't vape it dry. As long as you can see some eliquid in the tank - much less than 1/4 tank though.

I use cheap Galen's 151 proof, charcoal filtered, unflavored, uncolored. @$12 a fifth. It lasts me about 6-9 months. I have something like this:

... but smaller and fill it just enough to cover the atty/carto/clearo coil unit. You can use even less if you prop one side up with something. If you leave it open the vodka will evaporate. I change it when it gets brownish but still translucent.... unless it's menthol or a flavor that tends to cling.. then you have to empty and wash....
