Hi, I'm thinking about buying me and my fiance e-cigs for christmas, but there is sooo much choice out there I don't know where to start, some with the liquid so with the cartridges, some 169 some 53 all look the same and sound the same so I'm confused, I could really use some advice, like I saw a pack with 2 batteries 3 cartridges and a carrying case from e-cig.com now could I just use one battery and my fiance use the other one? or would I have to purchase 2 packs? I'm very confused and could use some help! thanks!!

Welcome to the forum, Tazma.

One kit alone will not be enough for two people to share. Regardless of which model you decide to purchase, you will need extra batteries so that you always have one charged when the one you're using goes dead. You will also want a few spare atomizers because you never know when one will die.

You will want e-liquid to refill your cartridges or cartomizers (depends on which model you select). Maybe start out with several sample bottles, usually 3 ml size, to determine which flavors you like.

All the suppliers listed on the forum have reviews done about their products so you can read some of the reviews and decide which you want to use.

Here are some links that might help.

Good luck with whatever you choose and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Hey Taz,

You'd want two starter kits, probably, and some e-liquid.

I just got my 510 no-box starter kit today from cignot.com ($40 shipped) and a few small bottles of Tennessee Cured from johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com (think they were about $10 each, I got one high-nicotine and one no-nicoctine). Love it. I get the exact same "throat hit" that I get from Drum roll-your-owns, if that's a useful reference for you.

Here is what i recommend:

Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarettes | E-Cigs from Smoore -

1 x M402 SMART PCC kit
1 x USB Passthrough
10 x Atomisers
100ml to 260ml of E-Liquid (recommended flavor: Marlboro)
10-20 blank carts
2 -4 Manual Batts (either M401 or M402 size)
1 extra charger

You won't need anything else and you should be ok for quite a while. The Mseries is an excellent choice and complete with all needed accessories. When you are at a place with loud noises, change to your manual batts. The USB Passthrough is a great piece so don't forget this in your order no matter what. Atomisers are only $6 a piece when ordering 10pcs. The liquid amount you wish to order is your choice. There is currently a great deal for 100 ml and 260ml so you decide.

Hope this helps. :)

I would first off totally agree with beckah54 in suggesting you read http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...strated-guide-e-cigs-parts-1-through-6-a.html
it really is a huge help in explaining the difference in the different models..
That being said the 2 most popular stand out models for users on the forum right now seem to be the Joye 510 (3 piece model) and the KR808D-1 (2 piece cartomizer model). Both have their pros and cons depending on what you feel your requirements and needs are. Most models most people rate on 3 factors (vapor production, throat hit, and battery life).

That being said, my fiance and I went with the 510..to try it out, we went with a starter kit from Nhaler because it had 2 complete PVs, 5 carts, and 2 6ml sample size bottles of juice (your choice of flavors) for $49.30 shipped after discount code..which both being pack a day smokers lasted just short of 2 weeks so long enough to give it a fair shot and have time to order some more juice...though the battery life wasn't sufficient and there was at times an hour that we were waiting for batteries to charge...so when we knew we were happy with it we ordered a second kit when we placed our juice order..and given all things semed the best deal to me and really about the same price wise at all the vendors..some have the kit cheaper but then you have to pay shipping and buy juice so it's really whatever you think the best deal is..
The KR808D-1, seems to be a little less fussing with refilling cartridges and stuff and the disposeable cartomizers are a nice concept since you're throwing away and replacing the atomizer and cartridge on a fairly regular basis, but the battery lasts longer between charges...don't know how it stacks up in comparison to costs yet. Seems that vapor4life is a very popular supplier for this model (they call it a vapor king) and their customers seem very rabid and almost cult like about them which to me says a great deal about their customer service and support..
But in the end, it comes down to your smoking habits, and your needs and requirements and what you're looking to get out of the model and what is important to you might be not as important to your significant other ...so preferences might actually be for different models, hence why I suggest reading that wonderful world of vaping thread and figuring out what features are most important to you first..

Indeed, that Wonderful World of Vaping thread is well worth the time. I was lucky to find this forum before I made my first purchase, and did a lot of reading. I stumbled onto this video that tilted my choice in the direction of the Vapor King - I know my wife wouldn't have any interest in fussy equipment, so the simplicity of the 2-piece was very appealing. After nearly 6 weeks, we're both very pleased. And while the cartomizers are disposable, they can be refilled (typically anywhere from 5 to over 20 times), and you can also get blank ones to fill with your choice of e-juice. The KR808D-1 is available from several different vendors, but if you spend some time poking around the Vapor4Life forum in the Suppliers section, you'll get a sense of why they have a loyal following. Best of luck, whatever you decide!
