Ok, having bought my husband an e-cig for his birthday 3 weeks ago, I have some questions about buying a second.

The e-cig we bought was from anytime electronic cigarettes in the UK and whilst my husband seems to like it OK, the atomizer appears to be on it's way out already (is this normal?) as it is being a bit erratic!! Having read the forum since buying this one, rather than just replace the atomizer I think we may get a whole new e-cig as there are some 'issues' with this one.

I have read through many posts and I have to say I am completely overwhelmed with the choice and often people mention just numbers (e.g. 510) but I don't know what makes these are!!

So can anyone recommend a good make to start with that is available in the UK?

The main issues with the current e-cig, or things that are quite important to hubby are:

1. Battery life - the battery life is very poor on the one we have lasting sometimes only an hour or 2. He is out at work all day so battery life is important (although he could take 2). Also, I have heard mention of a USB passthrough but I am unsure what this is - is it so you can bypass the battery when you are at home and smoke off the mains electric??!!

2. He likes to get quite a good hit at the back of the throat (although I am not sure if this is dependent on the juice) so if this is related to the amount of vapour then obviously one with lots of vapour would be good!

3. He has been using an automatic battery but I don't think this will affect his choice of purchase. I think he would be OK with a manual battery equally.

4. We have just started to fill our own cartridges after the initial ones ran out (we are still strugggling with this a little and sometimes he seems to get liquid in his mouth) so something that is fairly easy to refill would be good too.

I think that these are the main points so if anyone can recommend something that will be quick delivery in the UK too, thatis would be great!!

Many thanks

Lynda

If you want long battery life take a look at an Ego it uses the 510 atomiser that everyone is raving about which delivers a whopping throat hit and has large batteries for 8 hours of vaping! Also take a look at the Janty Stick, it has a built in USB passthrough so you can vape all day from a USB port and uses low cost cigar style batteries :) I have both and they are great! Hopefully they are in stock at one of these!

Yes the Versus is the same as the Titan. Different sellers just give them a different name :)

As far as I know, I don't think there is any difference between the 510 & the Tornado apart from battery life & the battery being a lot larger in size of course.

Lynswin, if you do decide to go for the Vapor Station's 510 & PCC, here is a discount code to get 5% off - UKVAPERS.

Lol, I've never actually bought from Vapor Station myself (yet), but so many people on my forum have done so & are very pleased with their prices & customer service.

hmm, that is confusing about the back  Might be an idea if you shoot them an email checking on if/when they are in stock.

Yes, other 510 spares will work with it.

Not sure about a guaranteed next day delivery option but from feedback of people that have bought from them, most have recieved their goods the next day anyway :)

PCCs and PTs are neat, but I'd really check out the eGo, because with those, you won't need either. The eGo is basically a 510 with a bigger battery and a neat cone that improves taste somewhat and makes sure any leakage ends up inside the cone, not on your fingers. The eGo is thicker than a 510, but only a few milimetres longer.
If you buy either, the atties are interchangeable, so you won't have to throw away things because you use the other now. I still use my 510s for those flavours I vape less or at home only. (Can't carry them all.)

Atomizers and batteries both are not going to last forever, you should always have a few spares around, just in case. Very roughly, you can expect a 510 atty to last 6 weeks, a battery 3 months, but of course, if you only use one atty and two batteries, that is bound to be shorter, if you rotate a lot of atties and/or batteries, they will last longer.

I have decided to go with the Titan and a PCC. This is purely down to size as the Tornado/Ego will just be a bit too big I think (althought they are better models).

Just for future reference then, if I decide to 'upgrade' to the Tornado at some point, the atomizers and the carts will fit from the Titan, it is just the batteries that are different, is that the case? Or is it juts the atomizers?

Thanks for all the useful information.
