Hello Fellow Vapers

New to the the ecig forum. Looking forward to meeting some of my fellow veeps. Only been vaping for 4 years having smoked cigarettes for 40+ years before having to quit.

I enjoyed smoking analogs but every time I lit up, I knew my years of smoking were beginning to catch up with me in a bad way. I finally quit smoking and switched to vaping. I started out with the ecigs that resemble cigarettes. As my interest in vaping grew (primarily for safety info), I explored more and more sites to learn more about this new alternative to smoking. I was amazed by this new emerging industry. It seemed like everyday there was a hot new mod or tank being introduced.

I'm still learning so much and now even trying to do my own coil builds, learning to apply Ohm's law to put everything together and make a nice safe build. There's much to know if you really want to use unregulated mechs & RDAs. As this industry continues to explode manufacturers are quickly coming out with newer, more sophisticated TC mods making it easier and much safer for the novice thinking about taking up vaping in order to quit smoking.

I'm a menthol smoker, always have been and I still can't fathom vaping something that tastes like milk or doughnuts or candy. It just seems so weird. I still prefer the traditional tobacco although I have begun to branch out a bit with some berry flavored ejuice with menthol.

I decided to join this forum to learn more about using Ohm's Law, calculating resistances, wattage etc. RDA's RBAs, RDTAs, RTAs etc. each having their own unique characteristics and applications. The number one concern for me is safe vaping. Batteries are another huge consideration, as is coils and if one doesn't know what they are doing they could get hurt..

So it's great to be a new member of the ecig forum!

Welcome and glad you joined. It's a good idea to establish your battery capability and eliminate it as an unknown in the equation.
